“Good,” he replied. “Because if you think that I’m ever using latex with you, then you’re out of your goddamn mind.”

The Titan Miller laying next to me was the same Titan Miller that was on the field during a soccer match, and it was clear that I cared about all versions of Titan Miller.

Chapter 17

Titan~

The downside to not dating a gold-digger? Lux had a job, and though I was her main priority right now, the woman still had to show up to the office five days a week and do her thing. So, after two nights of owning her, I’d had no choice but to let her get back to her life, and no matter how much in love I was right now, I also had my own job to attend to. This time, out of town.

Nevertheless, I had time for the one phone call that needed to be made, and I had to smile at remembering how these phone calls seemed to be the norm recently.

Waiting patiently for everyone to accept my call, as soon as we were all connected, Atlas asked, “So, I’m guessing that the baby is yours?”

“Why else would he be calling us this fucking early?” Sebastian grumbled, having had a late game last night.

“Is Sparkly asleep?” I asked.

Sebastian nodded. “Yeah, I silenced her phone when it started ringing. She stayed up to watch my game last night and it kicked her ass.”

“What’s going on now?” Orion asked. “You need me and Atlas to take a trip?”

“I can also be there,” Raven offered. “But I’ll have to come back tonight.”

I shook my head. “Thanks, but it’s being handled,” I assured them. “I called to tell you that I’m in love.”

“Why does this feel like déjà vu?” Atlas quipped.

“Fuck off,” Orion chuckled.

“Jesus, we’re dropping off like flies,” Raven grinned.

“Okay, so tell us everything,” Bast said through a yawn.

Since they already knew everything that was going on with Rachel, I caught them up from after the press conference. After Lux had left me in the conference room, I had called everyone, explaining how I had lied about Lux being my girlfriend to soften my edges during the paternity claim. I had also admitted to using the tactic to get closer to her. For whatever reason, Lux had caught my attention upon first meeting her at Copy Lights, and Raven and Orion were proof to trust that shit.

When I was finished telling them everything, Raven asked, “She won’t get in trouble for sleeping with a client?”

“Since they’re all onboard with her ‘pretending’ to be my girlfriend, I think it’ll be fine to say that we ended up really developing feelings for each other through the ruse,” I replied. “I mean, it’s the truth.”

“And how does she really feel about the baby news?” Atlas asked. “Have you guys talked about it now that you’re actually an item?

“No, not yet,” I answered sheepishly. “But she believes that the baby can’t be mine.”

“Uhm…and…uh, is everything okay onthatfront?” Orion asked.

I chuckled. “She’s the one, so it’s not an issue.”

“Goddamn, after ten years,” Atlas hooted. “How ya feeling?”

“I feel good,” I admitted. “It feels right, guys. She feels like…like everything.”

“Hey, you don’t have to explain it to us,” Raven said, grinning, genuinely happy for me.

“You know what this means, right?” Bast asked.

“What?”

With the cheesiest smile on his face, he said, “Atlas is the only one of us left that’s single. If the puck bunnies were relentless before, I hate to see what they’re going to be like now.”
