“Okay. You guys can go. We’re good.”

“See you in the morning.”

“Bright and fucking early as always, man.”

Cooper fist bumped me. Reid and Valen waved.

I flicked them the bird and rested my head back. “Are you going to be okay to drive us back?” I kissed the top of her head.

“Give me a few minutes.” She snuggled into me. “I don’t want to move.”

A stupid smile, all lovey dovey and shit, stretched my lips to breaking point.

“Then don’t.”

CHAPTER TWELVE

WRENLEE

I stood in a circle of black gravel and shattered glass that glinted beneath the black lights surrounding the club and wished I’d brought more than a filmy silver wrap to cover my bare arms. My back was bare too, courtesy of the stretchy white halter neck top with its plunging neckline that didn’t stop until my belly button, everything held together by a tight tie at the back. My short, glittery black skirt swirled around the tops of my thighs as I begged myself not to fall off the towering heels that still didn’t bring me quite to Napoleon’s shoulder height.

His footfalls crunched over the gravel and glass shards as he rounded the back of the black sedan that rode low to the ground and suited him perfectly. Dressed in black jeans that showed off his muscular thighs and a crisp black button down, he looked the picture of perfection, all sweeping blond hair and intense sapphire eyes that never left me.

“Are you okay with this? I’ll take you home and fuck you there instead. Or I can take you up to the mountains and find a place where we can be alone without anyone next door.” His fingertips trailed along my arm beneath the shimmery shawl.

I shivered. “It’s like you're undressing me.”

“Is that a no for tonight, or a yes?” He studied me, closing the space between us. Even though this was a man who’d fucked me all over the Kingsman house as well as his bedroom and his car in the last weeks since recovering from the head shot that dropped him to the ice and left my heart in my mouth, I struggled to not fall into him like it was our first time together. It was all too easy to let him crash into me the way we always had, full of passion and fraying inhibitions until they didn’t exist at all.

For me, and for Sylvie at least, that’s what tonight was about. Casting aside those fears, if only for a few hours in a safe setting.

“I wouldn’t do this with anyone else,” I murmured. “I mean, I like to have fun but this seems risky.”

“It can be scary.” Leon circled his arms loosely around me. “What was the word you chose for tonight? Your safe word?”

“Perseus.” I smiled shyly. “It’s a constellation Dad used to try to show me before– before–” My throat closed up and I couldn't force the word out.

“Fuck.” Leon’s arms closed around me like a vice, crushing me to his chest. “I’m sorry, kitten. Tell me to stop.”

“No.” I shook my head. “I want to do this. With you.”

He swallowed thickly and nodded. “I want to kiss you again.”

“You don’t have to ask–”

His mouth slammed over mine, cutting off my breath, stealing the air inside me. For a moment I existed in his arms alone, his tongue demanding, lashing inside my mouth. His hands roamed my body, sliding beneath the mini skirt and gripping both my ass cheeks hard.

I moaned into his mouth, crying out when he slapped me firmly enough that the sound ricocheted around the parking lot with its few cars as witness.

“You’re supposed to wait until we’re inside.” Beau’s ridiculously smooth voice carried over the fading sound.

I buried my head into Leon’s shoulder as they did a fist bump combo thing and man hugged.

“Hey.” A tentative hand, much smaller than the ones around me slid into mine. “You okay?”

I twisted in Leon’s hold, nodding when Sylvie peered at me worriedly. “I’m fine,” I reassured her, though my voice was raspy and gritty with need. “He just can’t wait to get started.”

She smiled softly. “I know what you mean.”
