Chucky is covering for us by telling everyone that we’re staying with him and Denise so he’s the only one with our actual location. For once, we can sleep peacefully, knowing we’re safe.

The dreams that greet me are the sweetest things ever. It’s always the same one over and over again. There’s no sound, just a silent reel of me sitting in a hospital bed holding a newborn baby in my arms as Xander sits beside me, staring on with pride in his eyes.

My heart flutters every time I have the dream but I know it comes from what Gillian said before she left. Us and our families.

I know one day Xander and I will have a family, but it’s way too soon to have that talk. We have all the time in the world for that.

“Morning, beautiful,” he whispers in my hair as I kiss the exposed skin of his chest.

“Morning, Sunshine.” I’ve never realized how true that nickname is until now. Xander is my personal sunshine. He lights up everything, and I’m the only one who gets to see it. Everyone else sees a dark cloud threatening to drop a tornado at any moment.

“I don’t want to get up,” he whispers before trailing hot wet kisses down my neck, between my breasts, and down the smooth plains of my stomach until he…

“Oh, my god,” I gasp from the pleasure of his tongue between my thighs. Our relationship has been painful PG-13 since the night I told Gillian to leave and I told him he could take as long as he needed. Turns out, he could barely stand a week.

His tongue flicks and teases the shell of my clit as he growls with hunger.

“Xander!” I cry out for him and the heat bursts down my legs as he sucks the little bud into his mouth. I fucking explode all over his face, riding out the high of my orgasm, the barbell in his mouth teasing it to last long until I’m too sensitive to give anymore.

“You taste so fucking good, darling. So perfect.” He doesn’t waste any time. Next thing I know, my legs are on his shoulders and he’s buried in me to the hilt, his balls brushing my ass.

I arch into him and cry out in pleasure as he fucks me hard, ramming into me like a bucking bronco and my head spins. It’s never felt like this, like I could die right now with him fucking me and that would be the perfect way to go. My cunt purrs around him as his grip tightens on my waist, his eyes darkening.

I know that look on his face. The tension in his jaw, the focus clear in his eyes. He’s about to come and he’s trying to hold out.

“Come for me, Sunshine,” I beg as I spasm around him again.

He ruts against me, grunting and groaning with release, as he fills me up.

“Such a good girl,” he rasps as he drops my legs and leans down to me, giving me a deep, loving kiss.

“What a way to start the day,” I joke when he pulls back.

I want so badly to tell him I love him, but I was the first one to say it to Dell and, for once, I don’t want to risk saying it and leave room for a conversation about how it’s too soon. I’m waiting for him to say it. Xander is the first person to make me feel like I deserve to be put first and this is one of those ways I refuse to budge on. He won’t hear those three little words leave my lips until he says them to me.

He laughs and kisses me again. “What a way indeed.”

I siton the bed flipping through the channels when a text comes through my phone.

Xander: On my way.

He always comes back to me for lunch and it’s such a sweet thing. He could easily get something near the garage and eat, but he wants to eat lunch with me. Every time I get this text, it always sends butterflies racing through my heart.

I respond with a kissing emoji before setting down my phone. I change out of my pajamas into a pair of leggings and my crop top sweater before pulling on my Ugg boots.

It’s almost like we go on a date every single day.

After a few minutes, there’s a knock at the door and I laugh.

“Did you leave your key card or something?” I call through the door before swinging it open, instantly regretting it.

I try to slam it back in his face, but his foot pops out, his boot blocking the closure. His hazel eyes are distorted by the wrinkles around them as he flashes me an evil smirk.

“Now, is that anyway to greet me, Laura?” Dennis mutters as he pushes the door back open, sauntering in like he owns the place.

“How did you find me?” I ask as I contemplate leaving the door open, but he sends me a dark look.
