"Wow, it's so strange to think about it..." Kenneth trailed off, lost in contemplation.

"And that's the struggle I'm faced with," I said, my voice tight with frustration. The weight of these issues hung over me, tormenting me in ways I detested. Absentmindedly, I tightened the worn cloth, now transformed into a makeshift rope.

"Ouch!" Kenneth's pained cry interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I quickly released my grip.

"This is unbelievable. Could you please untie me now?" he asked, a hint of exasperation in his voice.

"No!" I hesitated, considering the idea for a moment. "Maybe I enjoy seeing you subdued and silenced, just this once."

"Damn it, Skye! My skin is going to be red!" Kenneth grumbled, attempting to make me comprehend the consequences of my actions.

"Well, my heart is already shattered, its hue even redder than your skin," I retorted.

"Shattered? How so?"

"Why must I repeat myself every time? Can't you see the problem with our mother's behavior...?"

"No, I don't see it."

"What?!"

"I simply think you're being overly dramatic, Skye."

"Dramatic?!"

"And unsupportive toward our mother!"

"Unsupportive?! Take that back this instant, Kenneth!"

"No!"

"Then I suppose you'll remain bound here while I ponder whether to set you free or not!"

"You can't do that!"

"Well, I can. Just watch me!"

"You're crazy, Skye," he said

Kenneth's high-pitched yell followed, "Mommm!", echoed through the house, a desperate plea for his mother's assistance. His reliance on her was evident, a classic momma's boy seeking solace in her presence.

I rolled my eyes, grimacing at my own words, "Mom isn't here, she's out on a date with her man! It's just you and me now, brother."

Kenneth's voice filled with desperation, "Just let me go, Skye. What did I do wrong? What do you want?"

"I do want something," I said, a mischievous glint in my eye.

"And what is that?" he asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

"I need your help in making sure Mom's weeding never goes as planned," I suggested, a smirk playing on my lips.

Kenneth's mouth dropped open, his eyes widening in disbelief. "You want to do what?" he exclaimed, his voice a mixture of shock and amusement.

"I'm not repeating myself, I know you heard me quite clearly," I said, anticipating his attempts to deflect or evade the issue. "Don't waste your time trying to trick me."

"You know that isn't going to work, Skye..." Kenneth trailed off, his voice laced with resignation.
