All settled in, we tooled around a bit, just taking in all the natural beauty of the island. I looked over at Parker as he drove the boat. I thought he looked so happy and content. I looked at the ring he’d bought me when he proposed. I was happy and blessed to be alive. I couldn’t wait to start life as his wife.

“I’ve been thinking.”

“Oh, yeah? About what?” he asked as he looked at me.

“Why don’t we grab Captain Sarah and Franklin, take a weekend, and get married offshore? Sarah can marry us. There wouldn’t have to be expensive wedding plans, guests, things like that. It would just be us; then we can officially start our life together.”

“Sounds good. Tell me the date, and I’ll take care of the rest,” he said, without taking a moment to even consider my suggestion. Elated, I took out a notebook and pencil and started jotting down the necessary things we would need. Since our excursion was completed and we’d toured the islands, we headed home.

Exhaustion quickly set in as we reached our private dock behind the house. Covering a yawn, I said I’d clean up the boat tomorrow, grabbed Parker's hand, and went to greet Simba and shower.

“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” Marilyn Monroe

A week later, we set sail in my mom’s yacht once more with Captain Sarah and Franklin. This time would be different because we were eloping. We agreed not to have a big wedding, just our closest friends as witnesses. The only other thing we did was to hire a catering crew, a few deckhands, and housekeeping for the weeklong boating cruise. Among the family, we invited Kayla, who declined with the excuse of having made plans already. I suspected that Kayla had some pent-up feelings for Parker.

Naturally, we invited Elliot and Anthony, Cliff and Marisa, Nicole and Derrick, and Martha and Brett. Not having room for all of them, plus staff, Brett, Martha, Nicole, and Derrick took Parker’s boat to follow along. They’d sleep there, and while on board the newly named yacht,Shark Bait, and housekeeping would board Parker’s vessel to clean it up.

We planned on having the ceremony near a little cay we had discovered while in Bimini. All the wedding decorations were on board, and the catering crew had all the necessary food. The housekeepers would be decorating, as they assured me they had experience in that as well. The catering company confirmed this; they were the ones who had recommended them. All things set; we settled in the saloon area of the yacht adjacent to the upper deck.

The room was large enough to house the entire crew to hang out. Franklin drove Parker's vessel and followed Captain Sarah. We passed champagne around several times, and everyone was lighthearted as we cruised through the open waters. The weather was beautiful, the sun bright in the blue skies with the aqua color of the water below. I went up to Parker and gave him a sweet kiss on the lips.

“Happy?” I asked.

“Very. You?”

“Immensely.” He kissed me again as he draped his arm over my shoulders. I wore a light blue sundress with specks of different color throughout. It hugged my body as my hair ruffled around my face from the wind. I pulled my hair behind one ear and over one shoulder to secure it somewhat as we continued to talk to the other guests.

Elliot walked over to where we stood, looking out at the water with our drinks. He shook Parker’s hand and gave me a warm hug. “I’m sure glad you included us in this.”

“We couldn’t have got married without you guys here,” I said, smacking him lovingly on the arm.

“All of you mean the world to us,” Parker added.

El walked away with a hint of a tear in his eyes, excusing himself to find Anthony.

“What time is this wedding tomorrow?” Brett chimed in.

Martha swatted him with a slant to her eyes. “I’ve told you what time it starts.” Brett chuckled.

“It’s at noon, Dad.”

“Yeah, I know. I was just messing with you. So, when are we going fishing?”

That’s when Nicole broke into the conversation. “We were thinking the guys could fish today while the girls stayed on board and did sort of a bachelorette party while they do their bachelor thing.”

“That’s a fine idea,” Brett said as he slapped Parker’s back and I thought about it for a moment. We’d already decided Parker would sleep on his vessel that evening and not board mine again until noon tomorrow.

The guys gathered a few things while Parker said goodbye to me.

“I’m going to miss you tonight,” I said.

“I’m going to miss you too. Noon tomorrow, hopefully, then we’ll never have to spend a night away from each other again.”

“I love you. Be careful fishing.”

“Love you, too. Be careful with my sister,” he teased me, taking me into his arms. We hugged for a moment, then he kissed me. Our tongues danced as excitement heated my body to its core. Then they were off, no more men on the boat except for staff.
