“I’ll take you up on that, Beth. Filling you up with cum is going to be my new obsession. I’ll get Cal in on it, and we’ll fill youup so much your body won’t have a choice. By this time next year, you’ll be round and ripe, and I’ll spend hours worshiping every stretch mark, lapping milk from your perfect nipples.” He shudders. “Jesus, just the thought of drops of milk beading up and dripping down your body…”

My eyes widen. “Ezra Beckett, who knew you were so filthy?!”

He makes a face and then attacks, tickling me until I’m screaming for him to stop. “You bring it out of me, baby. I’ve never felt like this before.”

“I know what you mean,” I whisper.

“Beth, I—”

“What?” I ask, tucking my body into his and losing the battle against unconsciousness, sleep pulling me down.

He’s silent for a while, and I drift off. But I hear him when he whispers against my hair before planting a kiss at the top of my head.

“I love you, Beth.”

Cal

I bang on the door, trying to find a gap in the paper that covers the windows. Are they in there?

“Ezra! Beth?!”

Last night’s storm blew out the power across town. Ezra had texted that they were here, but I assumed they’d come home before morning. Neither of them are answering their phones, and combined with the damage all around town, I’m actually a little worried. There doesn’t look to be any damage to this building, but I’ll be on edge until I can get my eyes on one or both of them.

I woke this morning to the doorbell ringing, a courier dropping off an envelope of paperwork. I’ve been waiting on pins and needles to find out how Beth liked the surprise. He didn’t have to sell me on the gallery at all. I was fully in from the first moment he mentioned the open space downtown. I’d visited the space with him once and tried to sell him on it. It wasn’tuntil Beth came into the picture that he decided to invest in himself and take the leap.

I feel positive that she loved it, but it’d be nice if I could get a call back and hear all the details. Or, you know, confirmation of life.

I start banging on the door again, and then I finally hear movement. The latch unlocks and Ezra pulls open the door, looking sleep tousled. He’s barefoot, pants were clearly thrown on in a hurry, his fly still unzipped, and his shirt is hanging open. His curly hair is wild, and there are bags under his eyes.

“Late night?” I tease, winking. I reach down behind me and pick up a large paper bag and drink carrier. “No worries, I brought sustenance. Now, where’s our woman? I want to know all about how the surprise went. And I have the paperwork, it was delivered this morning. Your contact works fast.” Not waiting for him to invite me in, I push open the door and walk in.

“Elevator’s still down. We don’t have power yet,” he says, yawning and blinking sleepily as he pads over to the stairwell.

“So, how’d it go?” I whisper as we walk up the stairs. He doesn’t reply, but I see the side of his mouth turn up in a grin. I chuckle knowingly and do a little celebratory hip bump as he holds the door open for me.I fucking knew it!

The upstairs is a bit of a mess. Beth is padding around barefoot, tossing discarded food containers and spent candles into a trash bag. She beams at me when I walk in, racing over to throw her arms around my neck.

“Hello my wildflower,” I say as I squeeze her against me in a big bear hug. I plant sloppy kisses all over her face. She giggles asshe fights to get away from me.

“What’s gotten into you?” She sasses, clapping excitedly when I hold up a steaming hot cup of her favorite beverage. She thanks me with a kiss before taking a big gulp.

“I just woke up excited about life today,” I say with a huge grin. Ezra rolls his eyes, and Beth sits on one of the tables, cocking her head as she takes a bite of a croissant that I brought. “Oh, come on. My best friend and my best girl finally fucked after years of pining over each other.”

Beth makes a little choking noise, but then I look pointedly at the mass of blankets as if it could be anything but a fuck nest they’ve been in all night. She shrugs a shoulder and grins while she sips her hot chai latte.

I gesture wildly with my hands. “Plus, we’re starting a business together. I’m working on a project that excites me more than anything I’ve ever done before… Life is fucking good. I’m happy for you, I’m happy for me. I’m happy forus.”

I am genuinely fucking ecstatic about the way things are turning out. The only thing that could dim this light is how quickly the days are passing, and knowing I have to leave sooner than I want. As much as I love my job, I feel like this is the worst timing. I have a contract with World Traveler Magazine that I can’t get out of, and it’s going to take me out of the country for the next four months at least, possibly six.

I can’t focus on that, though. It’ll drag everyone down, and more than anything, I want them to be happy. So I’m living life to the fullest for the next week, surrounding myself and these two amazing people in love, sex, and happiness.

“I’m happy for us too,” Beth says, and I can tell she’sexperimenting with usingusto describe this, rolling it around on her tongue and wondering how the dynamic is going to work.

“We’ll figure it out,” Ezra says to her, kissing her cheek before coming over to rummage through the bag of breakfast goodies I brought. I love that he could see her starting to stress over it, too.

See, we’re already such a great team.

“In the meantime, however, let’s throw caution to the wind and lock this partnership down, eh?” I hold up the packet that the courier dropped off this morning.
