Your Daddies

Ishivered, desire racing red hot through my veins like a sudden storm. Drawing my lower lip between my teeth, I closed my eyes and trailed my fingers down the sweetheart neckline, only just brushing against my bare skin while I imagined what tonight would bring.

What did they have planned?

A gentle knock echoed through the door, and as it creaked open, Ada, Leah, Caitlin, and Irina entered, their smiles illuminating the room. I quickly hid the note from Connor and Caden underneath a pillow on the leather armchair right next to me.

I couldn’t have any of them find out that my husbands were going to spank me on my wedding night.

Each of them was already dressed in their bridesmaids’ gowns. The dresses featured a chic sweetheart neckline that gracefully framed each woman’s collarbone. The gowns gently hugged their waists, accentuating their figures in a tasteful manner. Flowing seamlessly from the waist, the A-line skirts cascaded down, creating an elegant and timeless silhouette. The soft, sage green hue not only complemented their skin tones, but also added an air of sophistication to the overall look.

They looked beautiful.

“Wow, Anastasia, you look absolutely stunning!” Ada exclaimed, her strong presence softened by genuine admiration.

“Like a fairy tale princess. Connor and Caden are two lucky men,” Leah, chimed in, her sweet demeanor shining through.

“The four of you look so beautiful,” I murmured.

“Are you excited?” Leah quipped.

“You’ve got two handsome devils to keep up with now. Hope you’ve been hitting the gym, girl!” Caitlin winked as her lips curled up in a teasing smirk.

“Sounds like double trouble to me, especially when you consider these are Murphy men,” Irina added.

Ada picked up the veil from a nearby chair and carefully worked it into my hair. When I’d first met her, I’d been a little intimidated, but the more I’d gotten to know her, the more I saw that she had a warm and exceptionally kind heart. Her signature red lip was impeccable. Truthfully, it felt a little strange tosee her in a dress, but she looked absolutely breathtaking in whatever she wore.

“Don’t let them walk all over you, Anastasia. The lot of us are queens in our own right,” Ada said softly, and I nodded in understanding. She glanced towards the belt on the bed, and I looked down, praying that she didn’t see my blushing.

Thankfully, she didn’t say a word about it.

“You’ve all been so welcoming,” I began.

Ada chimed in, her voice carrying the weight of experience. “You make my brothers happy, and that’s all that matters. We might be in a world where danger lurks around every corner, but you won’t face it alone. The strength of the Murphy family lies in its unity, and we’ve got your back.”

“We’re a tight-knit family. We’ll protect our own, and you’re no exception. Kieran would stop at nothing to keep Emma and Colin safe, and now he will for you too, just like the rest of us,” Leah murmured softly.

“Cormac traveled across the country to keep me out of trouble. If it weren’t for him coming to my rescue, I’d be sitting in jail. I fought him from hell to high water, but he still dragged me here anyway, and I’m happy he did,” Caitlin explained. She cocked her head, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

“If anyone messes with you, they’ll have to go through all of us first, as well as the Morozovs. And trust me, that’s no small feat,” Irina added.

“Your father helped me rescue both Connor and Caden,” I remarked, turning to face her, and she smiled.

“I know. He told me how much of a badass you were out there. You’ve got the makings of a real queen, and I’m happy to call you and the Kozlovs allies now, too,” she answered.

“You know, Emma is really excited to be your flower girl. It was sweet of you to include her. She even said that her dress is just like Cinderella’s, only green,” Leah added, her voice quiet. Her radiant smile shone with warmth, and I couldn’t help but grin in return.

“I’d hoped she’d like it,” I replied.

“Here, one final touch,” Ada exclaimed. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a tube of lipstick. Immediately, I grinned and nodded my approval. Carefully, she grasped my chin with her fingers and gently applied a thick layer to my lips. When she was done, I glanced in the mirror.

“I think it’s time to get married,” I said.

“That it is,” Ada replied.

Itook a deep breath, trying to maintain my composure as I stood at the back of the chapel. This was a much bigger church than the one I had originally chosen for the ceremony, and I looked around, trying to quell my stampeding heart by distracting myself.

Everything had come together perfectly.
