Arrow snuggles in close, folding himself into my side until his head rests just over my heart. We doze off together with my hand just over his collar, reminding me he’smine.

Chapter 33

I have a surprise for the guys. While I definitely needed some time with my friends, the two of them together can get a bit too crazy. Nessa and I sat back and just watched the Akio and Evie show as they sang karaoke and danced around the kitchen for half of the night.

I think the only reason they stopped was because they were so drunk they couldn’t stand any longer. I remember when Akio was too shy to meet my friends, and even then he hardly spoke.

It feels like things have started to change for him. He’s accepting who he is and letting us all encourage him along his journey.

I sneak in our front door on silent feet, taking off my shoes and dropping my bag inside. Carefully, I open the zipper and take out the two gift bags I picked up this morning. To say I am giddy is an understatement.

I feel like I’m being stealthy until Akio walks in and immediately trips. He laughs before rolling over to pick himself up, still half drunk. I giggle, shooting a text to Adrian his whereabouts. I need to get to my guys.

Dashing up the stairs, I carefully open our bedroom door to find Havoc and Arrow cuddled in bed together. The sheet is down, so both of their chests are exposed as Arrow clings to Havoc, and Havoc keeps a protective arm around Arrow as if he were ready to take on the world for him even in his sleep.

That’s when I notice the jewelry around Arrow’s neck. What the nutcracker? How did he get a collar before me?

I am two seconds away from having a princess fit when Havoc opens his eyes, and I forget my train of thought. He smiles softly, his free hand beckoning me over. I go willingly because I missed them. I love spending time with my friends, but nothing will ever replace the heat of my men curled up next to me.

I’m only in cotton shorts and a white crop top t-shirt, so when I get close, the skin of his torso brushes against mine and I melt into it. Arrow lifts his head just as I lay mine down, and sleepily smiles at me too.

His black and blue collar shifts and he notices immediately when my eyes drift there.

“Wait, before you get mad…”

I shrug, pretending not to care. It doesn’t hurt my feelings, just makes me think maybe I wasn’t clear about wanting this too.

“I’m not mad you got collared before me. Not salty at all that I was the one to bring the two of you together, and now I’m just an afterthought.”

I know those things aren’t true, I just like to mess with them.

“Kitten,” Arrow says, actually looking pained.

“Arrow, I’m kidding. I know it will happen when the time is right. I just wanted you to sweat it out for a second.”

As a grin forms on my face, he shakes his head, combing a hand through his bed head before flopping back down on the pillow.

“I got you both something though.” I sit up and hand each of them their bag. I can’t wait any longer.

They both push up so they can lean against the headboard as they open their gifts. I watch them pull out the black leather bag and undo the string that holds it together.

When they take out the black metal bracelets, they both smile so big I want to jump for joy.

“Why do I have two?” Havoc asks.

“The first one I had engraved, and the second one has small compartments for you to keep collar keys.”

His is engraved with the wordsMy Chaos.

Arrow inspects his, finding the engraving in an instant. My Peace. They both needed something from me that claims them as mine. I don’t need a ring or even a collar. I just need to know they’re willing to wear my seal of ownership just as I will wear theirs one day.

Havoc’s phone buzzes, our head of security’s name flashing on the screen.

“What does Evan want?” I ask, handing him his phone.

Instead of answering me, he gets up and throws on a pair of pants before leaving the room.

“Is everything okay?” I ask Arrow, who’s trying, and failing to put the bracelet on himself.
