“When is she getting tested?”

“In about three weeks. The appointment is scheduled and paid for by yours truly.”

“So right after tour then.”

“Yes.”

“I don’t know.”

The driver walks by. “Buses are leaving soon.”

“Abbey. Please.” He pleads, touching my arm.

“I just don’t know Wes.” I shrug him off. “I don’t want to be hurt anymore.”

“I won’t hurt you.”

“Anymore.”

“Anymore.” He hangs his head.

It breaks my heart to see him upset but I honestly don’t know what to do about the situation. He makes it sound so easy, but I know it won’t be. I know Haley will start drama, rumors, anything to try to break up apart. I know the press will have a field day with it. I know it will be a lot of drama.

“Can I think about it?”

“Yes.” He looks up with a smile. “Please do.”

“You should probably head back to your bus.”

“Yeah.”

He leans down and presses his lips to mine. I can’t help but melt into him when he does that. I kiss him back, our lips moving in sync. My arms instinctively wrap around his neck, as his arms wrap around my waist, pulling me closer against him.

He finally pulls away after a minute.

“Fuck.” I breathe out before sucking in a big breath.

“Yeah.” He smirks a little. “I love you, Abbey.

“I love you too.”

“Please think about it. Don’t just give up on us. I promise you. We can get through this.” He says, tilting my chin up so I’m looking at him. “I will see you at the venue. Feel free to call or text me if you get bored, though.” He smiles. I smile back. I can’t help it. “Bye Abbey.”

“Bye.” I whisper as he drops my face.

I watch him turn and walk away, lighting another cigarette before I turn and walk back on my bus.

Sue looks up when I sit on the couch.

“So, how did that go?”

“I don’t know.” I shrug.

“What do you want for lunch?”

“Anything is fine.”

“Half a sandwich and some ramen?” She asks.
