Casey ran from the chair as Miller slid the marble busts onto the seat. Turning, he followed her out of the room, running toward George and Teddy.

“Run! Run!” he yelled. The three men practically carried Casey from the building as glass shattered behind them, sending debris into the air.

“What about Dex and Trak?” asked George.

“We’re here,” said Trak, walking toward them. “The brothers got away. I must be getting slow.”

“No,” said Casey. “They went through a tunnel in the basement. They keep another car at the end so they can get out quickly.”

“Are you alright?” asked George.

“I-I think so,” she said, looking at the men. The concern on their faces made the world crash down around her. She started to sob uncontrollably, and George pulled her into his arms.

“There, there now, honey. It’s okay. You’re alright.”

“They were going to grind me up for food,” she sniffed. George looked at the others, shaking his head.

“That’s just damn nasty,” he said. “Ain’t nobody grinding up anybody. We’re gonna catch them boys and put a stop to it. You just need to stay safe, and we’ll do the rest. Ya hear me?”

“Yes, sir,” she sniffed, nodding her head.

“Alright, now. Let’s get you home, and these boys will do the rest. Teddy and I are too old for this shit.”

“I ain’t too old,” smirked Teddy.

“He’s fulla’ shit,” said George. “He’s old as dirt and won’t admit it.” Casey couldn’t help but laugh at their banter, shaking her head.

“I wish there were men my age like all of you,” she smiled.

“Well, now,” laughed Dex. “Be careful what you wish for.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

The Keogh brothers watched as their entire company exploded in shattered glass and steel. What they placed beneath the girl’s seat wouldn’t have had that reaction, but perhaps it reacted with something else in the building. Neither were chemists. Neither were scientists. They were entrepreneurs, dealmakers. Whatever you want to call them.

“Great. Just fucking great!” yelled Martin. “Now, what do we do?”

“I don’t know. Obviously, that bitch set us up, but she’s dead now. The FDA knows what we were doing, and that damn dishwasher wasn’t just a dishwasher.”

“No shit,” muttered his brother. “We need money. We need to find something new, go to another state, hell, another country.”

“We put everything into that,” said Alex. “We have no more money.”

“Peg and Tonia do,” said Martin. “They said they’d held some of their inheritance out for their futures. Let’s torture them and get what they have.”

“How do we do that?” asked Alex. “I’m not experienced with torture.”

“No, we’re going to kill them. We’re their only living relatives. Their money will belong to us, and we’ll start over. Or at least that was my initial plan. Maybe go to the Caribbean or Asia. We can start something new.” Martin waited for his brother to respond, but he just stared ahead at the road before them. They were headed west, although Martin wasn’t sure why.

“Where are we going?” asked Martin.

“Galveston. I was able to get us a last-minute cabin on a cruise to Bermuda. It will give us time to think about what we want to do.”

“What about the money that Peg and Tonia have? You said you thought about killing them for the money,” asked his brother. Alex smiled at him, shaking his head.

“Did you really think I’d let them have that money? I hired a geeky kid to transfer the money to our account yesterday.”

“No, shit!” laughed Martin. “What about the girls?”
