He couldn't hold it back anymore. His breath rumbled as he neared the edge of the cliff, then he stiffened and roared. His body jerked, every muscle tight as he poured himself into her with wave after wave.

She screamed in his ear as her pussy clamped down around him. She clawed at his back and head to bring him closer, squeezing her legs around his waist as he held her pressed against the wall.

Pure animal satisfaction flooded him as she squeezed around him, her body shaking as her orgasm crested. He swallowed her helpless cries with a kiss, drinking in the feel of her. He could kiss her forever. His tongue lazily danced with hers as they clung to one another.

Her body went limp in his arms, but still he didn't want to let her go. She sighed into his mouth, and he broke the kiss to lean back. He could just make out her face in the soft moonlight. Half-lidded, her eyes closed and opened slowly.

She smiled a wobbly smile, and he felt like the luckiest man alive. When she looked at him like that, like he hung the moon... he wanted to be her hero. He wanted to give her everything he had.

Slowly, she released her legs from around him. He slipped from her, but cupped his hand against her thighs.

"Going commando means you'll have cum running down your legs."

She sighed and leaned back against the wall, holding the bottom of her dress up still. "That's not so bad."

He placed a palm by her head again and then brought his hand up to her mouth. "Or you can clean yourself up. Either way, it's a win win situation."

Her lips slowly tilted up in that sneaky smile he loved so much. "Why thank you for the desert, good sir."

She stuck her tongue out and licked his hand clean, her eyes staring at him the entire time. His cock twitched back to life, and he straightened to tuck himself back in.

He growled, "I hope you don't plan on sleeping tonight, because I have plans for you, little bird."

She grinned as he grabbed her hand and linked their fingers, walking quickly on shaky legs back to their room.

Chapter 40

The flight back was a productive one for Lucy. She wrote on her tablet for almost the entire flight. Mason had switched his flight to be the same as hers, but he slept almost the entire way.

They were both exhausted from last night. The twinge between her legs felt good, like when you deep stretched in yoga and could feel the muscles burn for days. It was the best feeling, and she savored it, unsure when she'd next feel this way.

They began their descent, and Mason lifted his head and rubbed his eyes. She put her tray up and closed her tablet with a smile.

"Did you make good progress on the book?" he asked groggily.

She nodded and laid her head on his shoulder. He put his head on her head, kissing her hair with a sigh. Neither of them said anything else as the plane landed.

They walked hand in hand to baggage claim, still not talking. She wasn't sure if he was feeling as awkward as she was. The pressure on her chest had her breathing deep, long breaths.

He found her bag and rolled it to her, then turned back to find his own. Her phone dinged and she glanced at it as he came back.

"I'm parked in the garage, if you want a lift back to Crimson Creek?" he asked. His eyes were hooded, shuttered. She couldn't read his emotion as they wheeled their bags to the exit.

She shook her head. "Thanks, but Taylor's waiting outside. Do you need to go to Crimson Creek? I thought you had an apartment in the city?"

He nodded as they went out the sliding glass doors. He put his sunglasses on. "I do. It's closer to the Ranger's office."

"Good luck with work. Don't let them stick you in a desk job if that's not what you want," she said, finding her own sunglasses. She needed to hide the tears in her eyes.

He walked with her down the sidewalk. "I won't. I'll fight for what I want."

She glanced at him and cleared her throat. That must mean he didn't really want her, huh? If he wasn't fighting for her, for them.

She wrinkled her nose and sniffed.

He asked, "You ok?"

She nodded and waved to Taylor, who was getting out of her car and popping the trunk. "Yeah, just these Texas allergies. They really hit hard when you've been away for a few weeks," she chuckled nervously, wiping at her nose.
