That was a fact Da Han couldn't deny. The man was almost in his fifties now and even deadlier than he was when he nearly annihilated the Jade Dragon Triad twenty-two years ago. In order to save their organization, Da Han's father had to play the last card he had. A Blood Marriage between his firstborn and Hiko's firstborn. That was how Da Han met and married his wife. It just so happened, that was the best thing for him as his wife was the love of his life he'd been waiting for. The marriage brought an end to their feud and the unification of their triad and the yakuza. And Aoshi was a huge reason why it happened.

To say that there was still bad blood between Da Han and Aoshi was an understatement. The last thing he wanted to need was that asshole's help. “We have Stephen and Sakura, they'll beenough. We should continue to train all of our members to be at their very best,” Da Han said.

“Yes, of course,” Chen agreed.

Da Han turned to his little brother. “Now do you understand why I don’t want you to provoke the Lords or Castiellos. Don't worry, you'll get your time, but not now.”

Yufei grunted but nodded. “I understood you the first time.”

Da Han scoffed. “Apparently not, because here we are.”

Yufei rolled his pretty brown eyes. “I won’t attack them. At least, not without your permission.”

“Good, because you will respect my position in this organization. Father is no longer with us, I am in control,” Da Han said, remembering his brother’s comment about him being there now.

Yufei straightened his back and shoulders and nodded. “I understand.”

Da Han gave him another warning glare, then turned to Tian Yu. “Well, let me catch you both up on what happened while I was in Florida.”

Tian chuckled and scratched his eyebrow. “Ren texted me and told me that he's married.”

Da Han sighed. “Yes. He seemed to be very happy about that, but only time will tell if that was the right decision. I'll kill that man if he hurts my son.”

“I'm sure Sakura will beat you to it,” Tian said.

“I didn't give him permission, because that will be my honor,” Da Han said.

“Why don't we wait until the morning to get into the details? I'm very tired right now,” Tian Yu said.

“Sure. Now that my adrenaline has calmed down, I'm also ready for bed.” Da Han said goodnight to his brothers and Vanguard, then joined his wife in bed.

“Is everything okay?” Mèng Yáo asked.

“Yes, my darling. Go back to sleep,” he said, then he closed his eyes.

Chapter eighteen

Monty

Monty woke up beforeRen and showered, then dressed in one of his three-piece suits. The whole time, Ren remained asleep, or at least pretending to. Monty looked at the man lying in bed through the reflection in the mirror as he adjusted his tie.

“Wake up,” he ordered.

No response.

He turned around. “Ren, I know that you're not still sleeping. Get out of bed and kneel before me.”

Ren opened his eyes and lifted his head to look at Monty. “Are you mad at me?”

“I gave you a command,” Monty said, a blond brow raised in Ren's direction.

Ren climbed out of the bed without any more questions and walked to the spot before Montgomery and knelt before him, his head bowed.

“Look at me.”

Ren raised his head to meet the blue eyes of the man that he dreamed about last night doing all sorts of dirty things to him. His husband.

“I realize that you may have saved my life and the life of my family last night,” Montgomery said. “Had you not wanted to be my husband, your father wouldn't have had any reason to keep us alive.”
