“This isn't about that. I've already told you my rules and I don't like repeating myself,” Monty said. He felt the heat boiling inside of him because he realized the battle he was going to have with Ren. The man was far too suspicious, spoiled, and headstrong. The method he was going to have to take would be one that could earn Ren's trust. That his actions weren't because he wanted to force Ren to divorce him, but to train him for the life Ren swore he wanted when he married him.

“I'm not moving out,” Ren said.

“I never told you to do so.” Montgomery looked at him. The little brat honestly thought he was going to be running the show. “As I've said, I've got to get to work. Go to school.” He walked past Ren and out the door. While driving to work, he ponderedhis predicament. He'd never had to train a sub before. One of the reasons he enjoyed going to Scarlet Letter was because those subs were already living the life. They understood their place and how to please a Dom. Ren was new to the scene and so wet behind the ears, he practically had gills.

“Fucking hell, he's going to be a handful,” Monty said to himself as he drove to work.

Monty's cell rang and he looked down to see that it was his best friend Richard calling. He smiled and then answered. “Hello, Zach.”

“Just calling to see how you're doing and see if you want to get some lunch?” Richie replied.

“Perfect timing. Oh man, I have to catch you up on the last twenty-four hours.”

“Uh-oh, is it that bad?”

“Hard to say. We'll talk,” Monty said, then made arrangements with his friend to meet up at one of their favorite restaurants.

“Holy shit,” Richie said after hearing everything Monty had to say. From their unwelcomed guests to the contract signing, the stabbing, the forced wedding, and everything that happened that morning.

They were sitting in Monty's car having just enjoyed their lunch. Monty didn't want to talk about what was going on inside and now Richie could understand the need for privacy.

“Yes, that's my life now,” Monty said.

“Man, I—I don't know what to say. Do you want me to tell the Lords? I mean, they may be able to get you out of it,” Richie suggested.

Monty shook his head. “No. If I try to get out of this, it could get me and my family killed. We've lost control of the company, but I'm still CEO and making that income. Fact of the matter is, things could be worse.”

“Fuck,” Richie sighed as he sat back in the seat. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans along with his Lords of Chaos cut that had the Prospect Patches on it. Soon, those would be removed—he hoped. He licked his lips. “So, this Da Han Mujin is the boss of the Jade Dragon Triad?”

Monty nodded. “He's serious business. If the Lords try to interfere, it could get ugly, mate.”

“I know the Lords are on high alert regarding them. Especially in Chicago where I hear is their stronghold,” Richie said.

“Are the Lords and triad enemies?” Monty asked with a frown. “I don't want you getting mixed up with them.”

Richie gave him a small smile. “I'm prospecting as a Lord, Monty. I will back them.”

“Even if it means killing people?”

“If my life is in danger, yes.”

Monty exhaled and sat back, running his fingers through his blond locks. “Prison has changed you.”

Richie nodded. “You could say that. I know of some people in there I want to kill and one in particular that I will kill. I'm just waiting for Dragon to get out.”

“Who? Who on earth do you want to kill?” Monty couldn't fathom his best friend taking someone's life.

Richie grimaced because just the thought of CO Lawrence made him see red. “A CO who took advantage of me in there. I couldn't tell you before, and technically, I'm not supposed to be telling you this now. But it's just us. I was raped in prison by a guard.”

“Jesus Christ,” Monty gasped, his hands gripped the steering wheel hard enough to turn his knuckles white. His jaw was tight and he had to control his anger. “You should have told me.”

“I couldn't. They made me sign a document.”

“For how long?”
