“You’ve never flirted with Trevor,” I say, trying to play it all off.

She raises her eyebrows at me. “I literally made out with Trevor freshman year of college at the lakehouse. You were just too enamored with Mack showing you how to roast a fucking marshmallow to notice the drunken impromptu spin the bottle game happening down by the water.”

“I’m sorry, you what?” I practically scream. “No! Tell me you’re fucking lying! No, God! Please tell me you’re joking!” I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to shake that image from my head. “Amanda! Gross!”

We both crack up, but she shrugs, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “It wasn’t gross for me. He’s not my brother.”

“If you don’t shut your mouth right now!”

“He was a good kisser,” she says, shrugging again.

I chuck a pillow at her, and she squeals. My front door opens without warning, and in barges the culprit without knocking. I whip up from my chair and storm out of my room to the living room. “Trevor! You’re a dead man!” I shout.

I stop in my tracks when instead of Trevor, I find the man who’s really responsible for all my problems. Mack smiles at me. “What’d he do now?” he asks.

I huff out a breath, letting go of some of the passion I originally came out here with. Fuck, he looks good. Too good. I swear he does this shit on purpose. Luckily Trevor walks in right behind him. “What’s going on here?” he asks, walking into my place.

I give him a dirty look. “Spin the bottle? Really? Are you fucking serious?”

He cocks an eyebrow, not sure what I’m talking about. Amanda walks out of my room, looking like a fucking bombshell in her short shimmery dress that really does make her tits look fantastic.

Trevor’s eyes run up and down her body as realization suddenly dawns on his face. “Candy Mandy…” he trails off like his mind is going to places that they absolutely should not be.

I punch his arm. “What the fuck is wrong with you?” I turn to Mack with accusation in my voice. “Did you know about this?”

???

Mack

“Did you know about this?” Thea shouts at me.

Fuck, she looks good in that dress. The fabric clings to every single one of her curves. I try to keep my eyes at eye levelwith hers, but they keep wandering back down. Her cheeks have a cute red tint from the alcohol, and I can tell she’s already tipsy.

God, she’s cute when she’s mad. I can’t help but laugh. “How do you not know about this? It happened right in front of us?”

Amanda smirks at Thea before smiling at me. “She was distracted,” she says.

Thea glares at her, but I’m not really sure what they are talking about. It must be some kind of inside joke.

Amanda wraps her arms around Thea’s shoulders. “We’ve always said we wanted to be sisters.”

Trevor’s eyes open wide in terror, and the girls burst out laughing. “Don’t you worry,” Amanda says to Trevor. “I don’t want you.”

Trevor already threw back a few beers or maybe five or six on the way over, so he can’t just let that slide. “I wouldn’t have you if you begged.”

She steps up closer, lifting her chin. “I wouldn’t have you if you were the last man alive, and I still wouldn’t have you if you were the last person alive.”

Trevor shakes his head, unable to come up with a comeback quick enough, so instead settles on an angry stare off. Thea cringes, looking back at me. “Did we just cause this tension by making a big deal out of this?”

“We?” I ask, eyebrows lifted. “This was all you.”

“I fucked up, huh?”

“Afraid so.”

“Can we please make it stop?”

“Yup,” I say, grabbing Trevor’s arm and pulling him back. “Hey let’s get going.” I yank him toward the door. “I knew I shouldn’t have let you drink after Brooke dumped you again. Throwing yourself at the first available girl you see? Really?”
