I lift my bottle, thankful the conversation has veered away from us. The group all clinks their drinks together. The conversations start up again all around us, but I’m lost in thought, smiling at her. I would give anything to be alone with her right now. Having nothing but time to think this week has really put things into perspective for me. I was miserable. I was fucking miserable without her, and I can’t help but think what the hell am I waiting for?

I know what I want. I just have to figure out the best way to handle this. That’s going to have to wait until we have a chance to talk though. I don’t want to push something on her that she doesn’t even want. And as much as I know Thea, she’s still guarded. I still am not quite sure how she feels about all this.

Most people are out by the beach after we finish eating. I help put the leftover food away, and a couple of people are hanging around the kitchen still. Most of them are from Addy’s work though, so I don’t really know them. I take my opportunity, grabbing Thea’s hand and pulling her out of the kitchen down the hall.

“What are you doing?” she asks as I pull her into the laundry room around the corner.

She steps back until her back hits the dryer. I reach out, placing my hand on her hip, and cupping her jaw with my other one. I lean my forehead up against hers and breathe her in fora second. “I missed you,” I whisper. I bend down, wrapping my arms around her and lifting her up onto the dryer before stepping between her legs.

I kiss along her neck, and she moves her head to the side, allowing me better access. “What are you doing, Carver?”

I kiss along her chin to her lips. “Just getting reacquainted.”

She doesn’t push me away, but she doesn’t lean into it either. “I’m not getting reacquainted in a closet,” she says.

“Hey, a laundry room is a full room,” I say in defense even though I know she’s right. “I promise to give you full hello treatment tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow?” she asks as I continue kissing up her neck.

“Yes, you’re coming home with me tomorrow so we can finally talk.” I place my hand on her thigh, running it up her leg. “I just couldn’t wait until then to do this.”

She doesn’t stop me as I drag my hand all the way up to her panties. I lightly rub my thumb in between her legs over top of her underwear. She finally gives in, grabbing my head and pulling me in to kiss her. I devour her lips, pulling her in closer.

“I’ve been meaning to ask,” I say in between kisses.

“Hm?” she moans against my lips.

“You didn’t,” I pause, sucking on her bottom lip. “You didn’t tell me to put on a condom, and you definitely didn’t tell me to pull out.”

Her nails scrape against my scalp, and I lose my mind, forgetting we are even talking. She smiles against my mouth. “That wasn’t a question.”

“Why?” I ask, biting on her neck.

“I wasn’t ovulating,” she states all matter of fact.

“What?” I ask, breathing out a laugh before nibbling on her earlobe.

“I wasn’t ovulating,” she repeats.

“How do you know?” I ask, resuming rubbing circles with my thumb between her legs.

“I’m tracking my cycle. I’ve been off birth control for a while. I’m trying to get in tune with my natural hormones and really understand my body.”

“Fuck,” I mumble under my breath. That shouldn’t have turned me on as much as it did. “I want to be in tune with your body.”

Her body shakes as she laughs. “You’re such a dork.”

I bite down on her ear with my teeth. “Are you ovulating now?”

“Why?”

“Because all I can think about is shooting my cum inside of you.”

I yank her down from the dryer, spinning her around and lifting her sundress up over her ass. I yank my pants open, pulling my hard dick out and rubbing it up against her ass. I lean in close, biting up her neck again. “Answer the question, Thea.”

She props her ass back, opening her legs wider for me. My dick twitches when the head comes into contact with her wet pussy. “Thea,” I beg.

“No,” she pants. “No, I’m not ovulating.”
