He barely acknowledges me. “You stay out of this!”

Of course, now I have to do the opposite. “Relax, it’s not that big of a deal,” I say.

Trevor finally looks at me fully. “Not that big of a deal? This is some kind of joke, right?”

I fold my arms over my chest, giving him back just as much attitude. “Well, there’s nothing you can do about it now. His dick has already been inside of me.”

Trevor looks absolutely horrified, and Mack turns to me, his face in complete disbelief. “Thea!” he yells, but it’s too late.

Trevor’s eyes go black as he stares Mack down. “You’re a dead man.”

“Trevor, c’mon. Take it easy,” Mack says, slowly backing away with his hands up in a defensive position.

Trevor charges him, and both guys go stumbling back. I drop my mouth in surprise. “Oh, you have got to be fucking kidding me!” I yell to them, but it doesn’t do any good.

Mack defends himself somewhat, but he takes a few hits I know he could have avoided to let Trevor have the upper hand. All the commotion brings more people outside. Declan spots theguys wrestling down by the water and sighs. “Oh, c’mon. Really? It’s way too fucking early for this.”

He rushes down to the water to pull them off each other anyway. It takes a few attempts, and he’s holding Trevor back when Amanda and Addy come over to me. “What the hell is going on?” Addy asks.

“Men being stupid,” I say.

Amanda can already tell what is happening and gladly jumps in to fill in the details. “Thea’s boning her brother’s best friend.”

“Huh?” Addy responds with a smile. “Well, this is going to be an interesting morning. Anyone want pancakes?”

“Sure,” we both say, going inside to let the boys sort out their issues.

All three men walk back into the house about ten minutes later. Their clothes are all disheveled, and Mack’s face is red where he was hit. It’s probably going to bruise. Trevor excuses himself to the bathroom to clean up. I get up to go talk to Mack about what’s going on, but he holds his finger up in a “one minute” motion before grabbing Addy to talk to her for a minute.

He comes up to me a minute later, looking tired. “I need ice.”

I grab some frozen peas from the freezer to put on his injury while he sits on one of the kitchen stools. I want to be mad at them both for treating me like some property to own and fight over, but any amount of feminism I had in me left my body when I was watching him physically fight for me. Not that I’m going to let him know that.

I slap the peas up against his face, not even trying to be careful.

“Ow!” he complains.

“Don’t be such a baby.”

He wraps his arm around my back and pulls me in closer. “We’ll see if you feel the same way since you’re the one who is going to have bruises on your knees tonight.”

I cock an eyebrow, looking down at him. “Is that so?”

He grabs my hand, placing a kiss against it. “Yes.”

I pull the peas back to take a look. “You’re lucky Declan was here or you’d have been toast.”

Mack shrugs. “Nah, Trev and I talked it out.”

I snort a laugh. “Oh yeah? When? While his fist was hitting your face?”

“It’s a guy thing,” he says.

I shake my head with a smile. “So what did you say to sort it all out?”

Trevor walks into the kitchen like they weren’t at each other’s throats only moments ago. “He told me he was going to marry you.”

“What?” I ask, laughing and turning back to Mack.
