“Hudson, what are you doing here?”

He takes the bags from my hands without even asking and kisses my cheek, his warm, soft lips making my skin tingle.

“Lottie sent me a text and said you were picking flowers, so I thought I’d join you. Is that okay?”

I glance at Lottie who is walking backwards. “I just remembered I have that thing I need to do. I’ll call you later.”

That devious little minx. “You’d better.”

“Is it okay that I’m here? I don’t want to intrude.”

I angle my head up to him, before lifting on my toes and kissing his full lips. He’s caught off guard but as his arm comes around me, anchoring me to his chest, he quickly takes back control. He presses his lips to me harder as if he can’t get close enough and a whimper escapes me, as I clutch at his jacket. His hand moves up my back before tangling into my hair. It’s like the leash has snapped and all of the caged passion is free. I move against him, and his erection is like stone against my belly. A growl rumbles up Hudson’s chest and I feel it everywhere. My panties are soaked, and the need to feel him inside me is overwhelming.

With a nip to my bottom lip, Hudson breaks the kiss as we both try and catch our breaths.

“What was that for, wife?”

“I missed you.”

Hudson smiles against my lips. “You missed me, huh?”

I nod because admitting it out loud again makes me feel vulnerable.

“I missed you too.”

My fingers slip over his jaw. “You did?”

“Every day.”

I know he only means since we got married but I still like to hear it. “So, I was thinking while we’re pretending to be married maybe we could, you know, take advantage of the perks.”

“Oh, and what are those?”

I can feel the heat on my cheeks, and glance away from his eyes.

Hudson doesn’t let me get away with that, though, and lifts my chin with his knuckle. “How do you own a sex club and you can’t even say the words?”

“Shut it.”

“Sounds like that mouth needs to be kept occupied.”

I love this dominant flirty side of him.“Oh yeah? What do you have in mind?”

“How about we finish this conversation in private?”

I look around to see people watching us and a blush crawls over my neck. I may not court the public eye but, with my wealth, I’m well known, and we’ve attracted a crowd. “Good idea.”

“While I’m here, do you want to look at flower choices?”

Hudson takes my hand and turns me to the display of roses, and it feels nice to be here with him.“Yes, that would be nice. Do you have a preference?”

“No, I got everything I need.”

“How about roses? They’re classic, elegant.”

“And what else would Belle choose for her wedding to the beast.”

My lips split into a smile at his words but now I know he’s less beast and more prince, but the truth is I love them both. I just have to decide if I’m brave enough to go after it.
