“This is only the second one, Jax,” Nico threatened.

Jax shuddered beneath me, and I swore I could feel his dick throb inside of me. I felt like a voyeur even though I was caught in the middle of the two of them, with both of them filling me up.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” Jax taunted.

Nico chuckled, and when I glanced over my shoulder again, I saw his grin full of fangs. He pulled Jax’s wrist to his lips, and then sank his fangs in — top and bottom — his eyes dilating as he tasted Jax’s blood.

“Nico!” Jax let out a roar, desperately bucking under me as he emptied himself into me.

Seeing the bliss on his face was the most beautiful thing. It had hurt all of us to see Jax in pain. Things were changing for the better at last.

I felt a strange pull inside of me, located somewhere near our shared reservoir. It felt like it was… changing somehow. Then Nico wrapped an arm around me, his hand pushing between me and Jax, his fingertips delving lower and lower.

Before Jax could soften, Nico’s fingers danced over my clit, faster and faster, until I was the next one screaming his name. He grabbed my hair, pulling me back so Jax could watch my face, drinking in every moment, just as I had done when he was the one coming.

To my surprise, Nico didn’t follow us over the edge.

After I collapsed bonelessly on Jax, Nico disengaged from me. His dick still hard, he fell to the bed beside Jax. I untangled my legs and curled up beside Jax on the other side. Raising my head, I traced my finger along his chest as he recovered from the mind-blowing vampire bite-induced orgasm he’d just experienced.

Nico mirrored me, propping his head up on his elbow. “I love you, Jax,” he said simply. Then his eyes met mine. “I love you both.”

Jax’s face crumpled for a moment, and tears gathered in his eyes. Nico leaned in and kissed him so tenderly, my heart felt like it would explode.

When Nico pulled back, Jax was smiling through his tears.

“I’m here to stay,” Nico promised. “No more pushing you away.”

“Finally,” I said, and Jax laughed, but it caught in his throat.

He’d waited so long for Nico to return his feelings, and I felt awed to be present for the moment. Our coven was special not just because all four of us were vampires, but because we’d all needed to learn to look beyond our pasts to find our future together.

Then Nico grinned as his hand drifted lower to Jax’s flaccid member.

“I’m serious, Nico. You’ll kill me.”

Nico hadn’t come yet, but I had a feeling he was okay with that. If he was here to stay, we had many, many more times like this to look forward to.

What Nico and Jax had was still new and fragile, but I could sense Jax’s joy, and it made me feel so happy for them both. Things would only get better from here on out between all of us, for our entire coven.

That meant we could pause to enjoy our breakfast before it got too cold. I had a feeling Jax would appreciate the break.

“So, who wants sausage?”

Chapter Nineteen

Mel

Nico’s eyes rarely left Jax as we shared breakfast together. Jax’s cheeks reddened as he glanced from Nico to me, as though embarrassed to be caught feeling so strongly. Tempest curled up on the fourth chair, since Hudson was still away.

The three of us were still naked, so when Jax got up to move toward the sink, I swatted his behind. “Let me clean up.”

He turned, his eyebrows raised. “Mel, you don’t have to—”

“You and Nico have lots of missed time to make up for. Believe me, I understand. I’m glad you pushed me and Hudson to make up. Now it’s my turn to do the same for you and Nico.”

Nico gave me a grateful look as he took Jax’s hand, pulling him back toward the bedroom.

“Don’t kill him,” I warned Nico, who gave me a smirk before the two of them disappeared into the bedroom. They left the door open as an invitation to me.
