“Fuck off,” Asher warns him.

“It was just a question,” Ax smirks, stalking towards me.

“I— uh—” I stumble and Eli sighs.

“Back off, man,” he groans.

“Could it be because you were just spread out on the couch—”

“Fuck you,” I snap, as my anger helps fight off my embarrassment.

He raises an eyebrow in surprise at me.

“Maybe I just feel like a dirty little slut because I’m pantiless and about to be heading out to the bar with two guys who just had me screaming their names,” I snap with a smirk as his face falls.

I turn to head to the garage but Ax’s fingers grip my elbow pulling me to him. His hand grasps my chin, forcing my face up to look at him.

“Don’t push me,” he hisses. “Go put some fucking underwear on.”

I push his chest to get his grip off of me, feeling weirdly confident after the eventful afternoon.

“I don’t think I will. Not only is it easy access to them, but it irritates you. It’s a win-win for me.”

“Katelyn—” he growls as I turn my back to him again and I laugh.

“Unless you are going to start apologizing, I have nothing to say to you.”

“I can give some tips on how to apologize,” Asher announces.

I gasp as he lifts me over his shoulder and swats my ass as he leads me out to the garage. I don’t even know why we are heading to the bar, but I’m guessing it’s about to be an entertaining night.

Apparently being summoned to the bar just meant there was business going on for the Vipers and no one to babysit me at the house. I’m grateful that Bianca and Scott are able to come and take up space at the bar with me. I love Bianca and trust her with everything, but the amount of drama dumping I’ve been doing to her has me holding back the recent updates.

For just one night, I want to pretend everything is okay.

“Okay how about that one over there,” Bianca says, sipping her fruity cocktail and nodding to a couple in the corner.

The guy looks to be in his fifties and is fidgeting with his expensive suit, while the young girl he is with seems to be taking selfies on her phone.

“Definitely a tinder date gone wrong,” I laugh. “He thought he was scoring big because of how hot she is, but she’s definitely only interested in the free drinks.”

Scott laughs, shaking his head at us as Red hands him another beer.

“You girls causing trouble?” Red asks with a smirk.

“I wish,” Bianca says laughing. “It’s so boring.”

“I heard that,” Asher snaps from the other end of the bar. “It’s happy hour on a Tuesday.”

“So defensive,” Bianca rolls her eyes.

“Ax’s bad mood is contagious,” Lucky sighs, as he sits down beside me.

Red hands him some dark liquor and Lucky downs it in one gulp.

“Everyone getting yelled at in that meeting back there?” I ask, and Lucky snorts.

“That’s putting it lightly.”
