“What’s his issue?” Bianca asks, and Lucky runs a hand through his beard.

“Too many things to count.”

“Better get back there,” Asher warns him. “Red, you good up here?”

Red nods and waves them off as he goes to help an older woman that just sat down a few seats over.

“How about that one?” I ask, getting back to our people watching game.

“Waiting for his first official date as a gay man,” she announces then groans. “Alright I’m over this. Red, can I at least fix this music?”

Red motions to behind the bar where an iPod is plugged in and Bianca climbs over the counter to grab it. The 80s smooth rock changes to something much more Top 40 which causes Bianca to dance happily to herself. She sings and sways as she helps herself to some more vodka in her drink.

“Get your ass back over there before Asher fires me,” Red groans.

Bianca laughs and instead stands up on the bar top, holding her hand out to me.

“What are you doing!” I laugh at her swatting her hand away.

“Entertaining myself, Coyote Ugly style,” she grins, which only causes Scott to whistle.

The commotion gets the attention of the handful of others, and the girl that had been taking selfies hurries over to join Bianca dancing along the bar top.

“Asher’s gonna flip shit,” Red sighs, but makes no move to force them down.

“How you doing kitty Kat?” Scott asks, sliding down.

“Not as good as her apparently,” I laugh and sip some more of my drink. “Maybe I need to catch up.”

He laughs and shakes his head at me. “Bianca runs at hyper speed with or without alcohol,” he laughs. “Bee says you are starting college?”

“Yeah, I got a scholarship,” I grin and he high fives me.

“That’s awesome! Pick a major?”

“Enough!” Bianca groans. “No real world talk. We are dancing right now!”

I laugh loudly as she sticks her tongue out at Scott and he blows her a kiss.

“Up!” She demands and I realize she is talking to me.

“Bee,” I groan but she isn’t even listening.

For a small girl, she’s surprisingly strong as she attempts to lift me straight up from my seat. “Alright, alright! Don’t dislocate my arm!”

She smirks proudly to herself as I carefully get myself up on the bar. Horrible day to not wear underwear. I’m grateful that my dress goes to my knees, mentally reminding myself not to spin too fast. The girl that had been taking selfies has pulled a frat guy up on the bar, completely abandoning her original date, and another group of girls are scrambling to join as well.

Most of the guys have abandoned their pool tables and high top tables to cat call and whistle at the bar top and Red looks like he wants to kill us, even as he smiles despite himself. I dance and sing along with Bianca dramatically to the Taylor Swift song that comes through the speakers. Bianca’s music choice selectionmay be terrible but apparently even the frat guy dancing with us has T-Swift as their guilty pleasure.

I enjoy it while I can, I’m sure Asher won’t be thrilled when he gets back out here.

CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

AX

“Their last attempt to hack your home security was last evening,” Colt tells me. “It looks like they are also hitting her GPS so I’d ditch her phone.”

“Don’t they have to bug it for that?” Asher groans. His pacing has me ready to knock him the fuck out.
