“If it will get my dad to act right, I don’t really have a fucking choice do I?”

Eli sighs and shakes his head.

“Your dad’s an ass.”

“No argument there. But he made sure they paid out when he went to prison so I’d be able to find somewhere to go. Guess I owe it to him in a way.”

“You don’t owe him shit,” Asher snorts. “I’m sure he just didn’t realize how much Micha would be willing to dish out to keep family secrets buried.”

I grip the steering wheel trying to calm my breathing. “Guess we can thank Roy for filling him in,” I hiss.

I haven’t spoken to my mom or step dad in years. My dad may not have sold his kid like Kate’s did but he isn’t hesitating to throw me into shit to get his own pay out after Roy got a look at my house bought and paid for with Micha’s guilt money.

I check my texts and see one from Red letting me know Lucky is with him and that Bianca and Scott just got there. At least Kate will be safe and have her friends with her while we get rid of one part of this mess. She’s not naive, she knows that I’m not leaving this warehouse with her father still breathing.

I’ll just find a way to take her mind off of it when we get back home. The idea of her taking all three of us flashes in my mind and I adjust how I’m sitting as I try to focus on what we have to do first.

The abandoned industrial building comes into view and I pull my car around the back. No cars come down here anymore and Eli’s company upped security on it about a year ago to ensure if anyone did come down this road it would alert us. Jagger opens the door as we park the car and grins at us.

“They are at each other’s throats,” he lets us know and I grin.

“Perfect.”

Inside, small cell-like structures have been built, and I can hear Stephen and Mary yelling at each between their cells. I nod to the others as I unlock the closet revealing knives and guns. I let it swing open to ensure those fucks see it too. Jagger and Asher force Stephen into a chair in the middle of the room, taping him down. He starts to yell something and Jagger happily smacks tape over his mouth, cutting him off.

Mary sits down with little struggle but Eli still tapes her to the chair and slaps tape on her mouth. Jagger stands to the side, knowing that we are the ones that deserve to handle this. I don’t even bother with questions yet as my fists clench. I bring my fist down on Stephen until his nose is bleeding and Eli pulls me back. I brush him off of me and Asher chuckles.

“You’re fucked,” Asher whispers to Stephen from behind him and I hear Mary let out a strangled cry.

“Shut up,” Eli warns her and she fights to calm her breathing.

“We’re gonna play a little game,” I tell them as I wipe my knuckles off on a towel.

Eli, Asher, and I scan the weapons and while they both grab a gun of their choosing, I pick out a smooth knife that looks freshly sharpened.

“Whoever tells us the most information,” I tell them, turning back to face them. “Gets to die quick.”

Mary’s face pales as Stephen fights against the tape restraining him.

“Who wants to go first?” Eli chuckles and rips the tape off of Mary's mouth.

She screams and starts shaking her head.

“It was all him! It was his idea!”

“I don’t like hitting women,” Eli warns her. “But all I see right now is trash. You aren’t innocent. We know you were involved.”

Her voice catches and she panics.

“I convinced him to keep her there! To protect her!”

Eli’s hand swings at her face and she screams.

“How the fuck is that protecting her!” Asher shouts.

Stephen struggles to argue around the tape covering his mouth and I punch him in the stomach making him cough and gag. “Wait your fucking turn.”

“The longer she was there,” Mary cries. “Then at least it kept her from them, right! He did it! He made the deal! I wasn’t—”
