“Stop him!” Zoe cries as Alana yelps, the force too much and too sudden for her to be prepared for.

“Slasher, man,” I hiss, moving forward and gripping his shoulder. “Stop.”

All I get is an animalistic growl, and he starts thrusting so hard that it makes Alana’s head hit the tile wall with a thud.

“Slasher, man. You don’t want to hurt Alana. Stop.”

My words must reach him, because this time he stills, and pulls back to look at the woman he’s driving into.

“Lana?” he rasps, his voice not sounding like his own as his whole body trembles.

“Y-yes,” she sobs, “it’s me.”

He growls low again, and I squeeze his shoulder.

“You gotta stop man,” I say, ignoring the fact that my clothes are soaked through.

“No.” He snaps, and Alana reaches up and cups his face.

“Slash, you can have me if that’s what you need, but can you try not to hurt me?”

His response is a growl, but when he presses his forehead to hers and he starts thrusting slowly, with less force, I release his shoulder and take a step back.

“Will he hurt her?” Zoe asks in a whisper as I rejoin her, and I shake my head.

“I don’t think so, but to be safe, I’m gonna have to stay nearby, just in case.”

Nodding in agreement, Zoe leads me to the other side of the shower room to give them the feeling of privacy, and she turns to face the wall.

“You’re not going to watch?” I ask. “I thought my princess was into voyeurism.”

Side eyeing me, she bites back a smirk and shrugs. “Normally, I am, but this feels too intimate.”

Glancing back at the way Slasher fucks Alana against the wall, their lips locked in a passionate kiss, I’d have to say I agree.

Slasher may be a broken man right now, but the chemistry between those two is undeniable.

“I need to tell you something.” The concern in Zoe’s tone draws my attention to her as she stares at the back wall.

“You can tell me anything.” I remind her, and even in the dull light I can see how she worries her lip. “What’s wrong, Princess?”

“They were there for me,” she whispers, her blue gaze darting to mine.

“What?” I ask, unsure exactly what she’s talking about.

“The Reapers. They were there looking for me. The ones I came across said so.”

Her bottom lip wobbles and I realize she is blaming herself for the attack on the club.

“Princess. Don’t do that. Do not for one fucking second blame yourself. They did this. They did everything. This is not on you.”

“But Sasha, and Slayer, and Gunner… they all died because—”

Spinning on her, I grip her shoulders and press my face close to hers. “They all died because the Reapers are at war with us. They want our territory, Princess. And you, well you’re caught up in the middle. None of this is on you,” I grip her chin and angle her head back, making sure she has no choice but to look in my eyes. “Do you understand?”

Slowly she nods, but the grunts across the other side of the room interrupt us, and Zoe quickly turns back to face the back wall.

“Gray?” Zoe asks, and I glance back down at her.
