I hummed and handed her the blunt, letting her take another hit. When she did, she gripped the back of my neck and pulled my lips to hers, letting the smoke curl into my mouth. I growled and kissed her a little harder, inhaling the smoke into my lungs before I softly blew it back into hers.

“That’s hot,” Tank rumbled from next to us, making April jump.

I pulled back from April and blew the rest of the smoke out of my mouth as I looked up at him. “Mornin’,” I rumbled.

He gripped my chin and pulled my lips up to his, kissing me soft and slow. My chest ached at his gentle touch, and as if April sensed it, she slid her hands over my chest, pressing her palms flat over the rapid beat of my heart.

Without a word, Tank settled himself behind me on the picnic table and wrapped his thick arms around both me and April, holding us. He rested his chin on my shoulder, smiling at our woman. “You look pleasantly high,” he teased her.

She giggled and leaned forward to seal her mouth over his. He growled, his fingers bunching in the back of her shirt. I felt his cock press against my back in response to her heated kiss before he gripped her messy, dark hair and forced her head back. She whined, but I knew Tank wasn’t looking for sex right now. He just wanted company.

“When’s church?” I asked Tank as I went back to running my fingers over April’s responsive body.

“Whenever Capone and Hawke get out of bed,” Tank told me. He nuzzled my neck, pressing kisses to my skin. “You know how rough he and Hawke get. Going to take Hawke a minute to come back to us.”

I understood. It was the submissive headspace. We saw April fall into it all the time. Aftercare was extremely important. Not providing it risked a bad sub drop, and while sometimes sub drop was inevitable, we did our best to make it as comfortable as possible.

Hawke hit bad sub-drops all the time, but Capone always brought him back to us.

April frowned at Tank. “Is he okay?”

I trailed my fingers over her back, answering for Tank. “He’ll be okay, baby,” I assured her. “You know how it is.”

She nodded, looking a little sad on Hawke’s behalf. “It can suck.”

I pressed a kiss right beneath her chin. “I know,” I softly told her. Tank pressed another kiss to my neck, making me shudder. He knew I knew. Sometimes, when I woke up from nightmares, he was already there, somehow sensing I needed him. Ten years later, it still felt like I was sometimes trapped beneath men and women, tied up, and being sold.

“Have either of you eaten yet?” Tank asked out of the blue.

I shook my head. “Got up and came to smoke,” I told him. It was my morning routine. I had to have my routine. He knew that.

He hummed. “Come on. I’ll go make some breakfast. You both need to eat.”

April stood up, and I slid off the picnic table next. Tank grabbed April’s hand in his before pressing his hand to my lower back, leading us both inside. I didn’t protest. I liked it when Tank took over like this. He could be gruff, and his size was definitely intimidating, but he loved fiercely and took care of all of us.

“Both of you sit,” he commanded, pointing to the table Rider and River were sitting at. Rider was running his fingers through River’s hair, and the younger guy had his eyes closed, his head resting on Rider’s shoulder. “I’ll make you some breakfast.”

“What about us?” Rider grumbled from the table, taking a sip of his coffee.

Tank rolled his eyes. “Get off your lazy ass and make some, boy.”

Rider rolled his eyes too before heaving a sigh and standing, taking the command for what it was: get in there and help him cook. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to River’s lips before heading into the kitchen.

I grinned at his grumpy face, settling April on my lap again, craving the comfort I got when I was in her presence. Turning, she straddled my lap and twined her arms around my neck, resting her head on her arm. I brushed a kiss to her forehead before shutting my own eyes, listening as the guys all slowly started to wake up.

Hawke and Capone came down the stairs first. Hawke looked tired, his eyes just a little vacant. Capone had their fingers twined together, and he led Hawke over to our table, forcing him to sit before he crouched in front of him, running his fingers over Hawke’s cheek. “Let me get you some coffee,” Capone rumbled. “Just sit right here, okay?”

Hawke just nodded before closing his eyes. I nudged him with my foot, and he looked up at me as Capone walked away. “You good?”

He nodded his head, but I could tell it was a lie. He was struggling this morning. “I’m here if you need me,” I murmured.

He just nodded again. Capone came back to the table with a steaming mug of coffee. “Come on, boy,” Capone rumbled. “On your feet. Back upstairs.”

Hawke stood to his feet, and Capone gripped the back of his neck, leading him back to the staircase. April frowned after them. I brushed my fingers over her back. She worried about all of us so much. “Capone is taking care of him, baby. He’s neverlet you down; he won’t let Hawke down either,” I promised her. I brushed a kiss to her temple. “Relax. He’ll be fine.”

She sighed and rested her head back on her arm, her face tucked into the side of my neck.
