“Best. Fucking. Punishment. Ever,” she pants. “I need more.”

“Good. We’ll break the fucking bed before we leave here. Be prepared to pack your bags.” I stare down at the woman who owns my heart, a wide smile on my face. “Now shut the hell up and take my cock until you explode all over me.” I kiss the inside of her ankle. “Then I’m going to fill up your beautiful pussy with all my cum.” I kiss the other ankle. “And that’s just the start of what I have planned for you.”

MACKENZIE

My mom is glaring at me as I walk down the stairs, my backpack over my shoulder and a duffle bag in my other hand. Chase is right beside me, carrying my suitcases and his.

Jeff stands at the bottom of the stairs, a smirk on his face. “Anything else you need help with?”

“There’s two suitcases and a bag in my bedroom. They belong to her,” Chase whispers, nodding at me with a smirk. I poke him in the side, rolling my eyes.

“Say no more.” Jeff bounds up the stairs, throwing us a grin. “I’ll be right back with them.”

My mom folds her arms over her chest, blocking our path to the door. “Is this really what you want to do, Kenz? Leave your family at Christmas?”

“You left me no other choice when you forced me to choose between you and him. I’ve told you how I feel about Chase, yet you refuse to accept it. Now you’re demanding I give him up.” I lift my chin. “Nothingwill keep us apart.” In unison, Chase and I turn our heads, our eyes locking together, matching smiles curving our lips.

My mom huffs. “You’ll regret this one day, Kenz.” She steps closer, eyes flashing. “If you walk out that door, you’re not welcome here anymore.”

I see the panic and fear in Chase’s eyes. I shake my head, mouthing, “I love you. Stop worrying,” before I turn my attention to my mom. “If that’s how you want it. But Dad is always welcome to see Chase and me. Youwon’tkeep me away from him.” I stare her down, defiance and anger burning in my gaze.

“I’ll call the cops.” She pulls out her cell phone, but before she can unlock the screen, I smirk at her.

“Go ahead, mom. I’m eighteen and so is Chase. They’ll show up and say this is a domestic dispute.”

“But maybe they’ll arrest him since he just got out of jail.” Victory burns in her eyes as I shake my head, rolling my eyes.

Shifting my duffle bag, I grab my cell phone from my pocket and dial a number. Putting it on speakerphone, I impatiently wait for him to answer.

“Hey, baby girl.”

“Hi, Dad. I hate to bother you, but there’s an issue.” My eyes are locked on my mom’s face. She blanches, two rosy spots appearing on her cheek. “Chase came over to get his stuff. Mom insisted I stay away from him, but I refuse.” I blow out a breath, hating to hurt my dad like this. “I-I’m leaving with him, Dad. I’m gonna stay with him at Jeff’s house. I won’t be far away and?—”

“Kenz, stop.” I hear him blow out a breath. “I’m not surprised. I know you care about him and honestly, I knew the two of you wouldn’t stay apart.” He chuckles. “I was young once, you know.”

“Ugh. I don’t wanna think about that,” I tease.

“I won’t bore you with the details. Now, what’s the problem?”

“Mom says if I leave home, I’m not welcome here. Not only that, now she wants to call the cops if I walk out the door. See if they’ll throw Chase back in jail.”

My dad sucks in a breath. A long pause ensues before he says, “I’m calling your mom. Hang up and go with Chase. I’ll see you there later.” Then the line goes dead.

Hanging up, I gloat at my mom. Her face is as pale as a ghost as her phone rings.

The smile leaves my face. Deep down, sympathy swirls inside me.She needs to get counseling. Dad and I have tried to talk her into it, but she once confessed that a nurse in counseling wasn’t a good look for her job.

“It didn’t have to be this way, Mom. I hope you listen to Dad and get some counseling. It really helps.” I smile up at the man I love. “Chase and I go. This is my second time going. There’s no shame in it.”

Jeff comes down the stairs, carrying the rest of our luggage. I look at him, then at Chase. “Bye, Mom.”

Then I walk out the door in front of Chase, never looking back.
