“Let’s get to your dress fitting, and I’ll grab something on the way. Would that be okay with both of you?” she says, heavy on the sarcasm.
“Make sure she does Em,” Mary says and sits back at the desk as we walk out the room.
“I need to tell you something, two things actually, but not here, I don’t want anyone listening.”
“Exciting, I love a bit of gossip,” Millie says, linking her arm with mine as we walk to the car.
“I’ll tell you when we get back in the car, then I know nobody will hear me.”
“That serious huh?” Her eyebrows wiggle at me. When we get in the car, I couldn’t wait any longer to tell her.
“I’m promoting you to Maid of Honour and I’m pregnant. I’m sorry I couldn’t contain it any longer. I needed to get it out. “I have so many questions for you right now, just give me a minute to absorb the information.” She leans her head back on the seat and closes her eyes for a second.
