I listened to everything she told me, but it was hard to concentrate at times as all sorts of wicked fantasies ran through my mind. Oh, the things I planned on doing to her in this room when I was back to full health.

Fantasies, similar to the things we had done earlier, plus so much more!

I loved seeing her wearing my T-shirt this morning. It was so hot! I loved the sight of her in my clothes almost as much as I loved the sight of her naked. I hadn’t been able to stop staring.

As she told me about what she had been doing this week, I fantasised about her slipping into my office while I worked late one evening, wearing only my T-shirt, before I pulled it off her, turned her over to my desk, and took her from behind.

Then I had a flashback to when she had been on her knees in front of me, sucking greedily on my cock. I was planning on having her do that in here, too. Oh, and anywhere else I could get her to do it. I closed my eyes and nuzzled her neck as I imagined it all.

I nipped her earlobe, blew inside her ear, then ran my tongue down her neck from her ear to her collarbone and nipped at the sensitive skin where her neck and shoulder met. She shivered in delight, and goosebumps spread over her skin. I loved how she reacted to me. She was so sensitive to everything I did to her, and it made everything feel so much more erotic.

We were so wrapped up in each other that we barely noticed the time passing before one of my men knocked on the door announcing Derricks’s arrival.

Reluctantly, we pulled apart, and I gave her a quick kiss on the lips before helping her stand. I quickly adjusted myself in an attempt to hide my obvious erection before I went to the door and opened it.

“What the hell is going on?” he asked the minute I appeared.

Gracie slipped out of the office as I ushered him inside. We had agreed to let me talk to him first, and although he narrowed his eyes at me when I told him this, he didn’t protest.

“I’ll ask again, what the hell is going on?” he stated with a voice that demanded an answer.

He might have acted somewhat submissive and called me Mr Rominov before when he was working, but the way he spoke to me now made it plain that he wasn’t intimidated by me in his personal life. I found my respect for him growing even more.

I sat down and motioned for him to do the same. At first, I thought he might protest, but after a second or two of deliberation, he sat.

Before I got down to my explanation, I thanked him for fixing me up. He nodded in acceptance but didn’t say anything. His eyes were watchful, and I could see him weighing me up in the same way I was him.

There was much more to Derrick than he let on to most people, and I was pleased with what I saw.

I spent the next few minutes explaining what had happened.

Keeping it simple at first, I simply stated that I had been kidnapped. I suspected the men involved were planning to rob my family’s businesses as they had been attempting to beat information out of me.

Thankfully, Gracie had seen them taking me into a building near the Bell Tavern and came to my rescue. Which had both surprised and delighted me.

However, unfortunately, we must’ve been followed as the two guys broke into Gracie’s house the following morning and attacked us again. We had fought them off until my brother and cousin arrived to help. After that, we’d come here to ensure Gracie’s safety. I also assured him that we were dealing with the situation and didn’t want police involvement at this time. Not too far off from the truth!

It was a deliberately vague explanation. I watched Derrick intently to see how this information, or lack thereof, affected him.

He looked at me just as intensely, and I could tell he saw way more than I would have initially given him credit for. My respect for him went up another notch. It appeared he was exactly what I was looking for.

“What happened to the men?” he asked.

“They are no longer a problem,” I replied.

He nodded approvingly, and I could see his mind working.

“But you’re still in danger, and Gracie too, I take it?” he asked after a moment of silence.

“Yes, it seems they were part of a larger threat, but we are dealing with that and will have it eliminated soon,” I said, emphasising the word eliminated to gauge his reaction.

Again, he said nothing, simply nodding his approval, staring at me long and hard. At that moment, I could tell that behind the usual upbeat, slightly diva-type persona he wore on a daily basis lay a strong, powerful, and dangerous man.

A lesser man might have squirmed under his gaze, but I didn’t. I was used to strong, powerful, and dangerous men. Indeed, I was one. So, I simply returned his stare with the same assessing intensity until he smirked, nodding again, and I guessed that I’d passed whatever test that was.

“What can I do to help, Mr Rominov?” he asked.

Ah, the respect was back. However, I wanted to get Derrick onside, so the barrier between us needed to be lower. I leaned forward.
