Tulips are red,

My balls are blue.

My heart is lonely,

All because of you.

“I’m so stressed about that article that this shitty poem isn’t bothering me. It should bother me, right?”

“It’s creepy and kind of gross. Our tour schedule is public, so it’s less stalkerish than it could be,” Willa offers, unhelpfully.

I take pictures and send them to Cal to forward to the lawyer. The high from playing tonight comes crashing down immediately and my body is feeling it. I’m exhausted and my head is pounding.

“We need to be on the bus in twenty!” Nate yells as he walks by our door. Willa gives him a thumbs up.

“So, how was playing with us? You know, before everything,” she asks, biting her lip nervously.

“Honestly, it was amazing. It was what I was always too scared to dream.”

Willa smiles and claps her hands. “My girl is back!”

Both our phones go off and we roll our eyes together. We know it’s Cal in the group chat.

Cal

I need to change my number immediately.

Me

What did you do?

“Ten bucks says he gave it to a groupie,” Willa says, reading along with me.

Mav

He gave it to the hot redhead, and she posted it on her Instagram.

“Told you,” Willa says with a snort.

Cal

Did you see her? Of course I gave it to her. In more ways than one.

Me

Take me off this group chat.

Mav

If we suffer, you suffer.

Cal

My phone won’t stop ringing!

Me

Sounds like a you problem.
