“Why’s it purple?”

“Dunno, but it’s beautiful, right? There’s very little light pollution around here so you have a great view of the galaxy.”

“I’ve never seen this.”

“Yeah? Sometimes we’re so busy with our lives that we forget to look up. But it sure does take your breath away.”

“Yeah, it does,” I say, still in awe of what I’m seeing. Sometimes I get so lost in my shitty life that I forget how good things can be, if I only look. Like right now. This night. He made me dinner, we got off, and now we’re here, just stargazing.

Who does this? Who is this guy?

I still don’t fucking know where he came from? He’s almost too good to be true.

“So what do we do now?” I ask, and Jimbob huffs a laugh.

“Always so impatient. I thought I could tell you all about the constellations.”

“Of course you know those.”

He beams at me and then extends his arm toward me. “Come on. Come lie here against me. I wanna hold you while I tell you all about the stars.”

I should reject him, tell him he’s so full of shit, but I don’t. I just lean into his side and rest my head on his chest, feeling the steady thump of his heart against my cheek.

And for the next hour, I listen to him tell me all that he knows about astronomy, and I was worried at first that I’d be bored, but I was enthralled. Jimbob might present as some kind of big dumb lug in his overalls and riding that tractor, but he’s really fucking smart.

“Did you go to college?” I ask, and Jimbob nods.

“Yep, went for agricultural engineering with a minor in astronomy.”

“Jesus,” I say and then lean up and stare down at him. “Are you for real?”

“Yep. It was fun. I got to learn about ways to help my dad on the farm, and I got to study the stars. Win, win.”

“Why the fuck are you here with me when you could have anyone?” I ask, suddenly feeling insecure. I barely graduated high school and am working at a feed store. Jimbob could marry a goddamn doctor or something, not a loser like me.

“Oh, well that’s simple.”

I wet my lips and wait for his answer. His hand comes up to cup my cheek, and he smiles softly at me.

“I just want you. That’s all. Just you. You’re perfect.”

My heart thunders in my chest, and I can’t help but lean down and kiss him. It’s inevitable, the pull between us. The kiss is tender for a moment before his tongue slips into my mouth, and I lose all control.

My body shifts fully on top of him, my legs straddling his thighs as my hands thread through his hair.

“This is the most Kansan thing,” I whisper as I tilt my face and bite at his bottom lip. “Making out in a cornfield.”

“You love it though,” he says with a grin, and I roll my eyes before shifting my hips against his growing cock, making his cheeks flush.

“You love me on top of you, making your dick leak.”

“Damn right,” he murmurs, his hands coming to settle on my hips, rocking me back and forth against his straining length. It feels so good, the sensation of our dicks pressed against each other, the feel of his fingers digging gently into my skin.

“I want to fuck you,” I blurt between kisses, and Jimbob’s cheeks darken.

“Yeah? Okay.”

The way he just gives in to it makes me even hornier. There’s no hesitation whatsoever.
