“And you’re cute when you shut up,” she says with a sly smile and kisses me hard, her teeth gently nibble at my bottom lip in small moments of pause between kisses.
I feel like I might burst out of my skin.
“You are way too sexy,” I say pulling back and taking in the vision that stands before me.
Madison’s blue eyes flutter, she smiles a sort of nervous smile. Then her eyes drop down and takes me in, she moves her hands behind her back and unclasps her bra letting it drop to the floor.
Her chest heaves as she takes deep breaths. She wriggles her feet out of her shoes without breaking eye contact. I can smell her arousal and there’s no way I can hold back much longer.
“Please Chase, don’t make me wait any longer,” She whines, and lust overcomes me.
Scooping her back up into my arms I carry her over to the bed leaving the mess of our discarded clothes behind. Her breath is hot against my neck as she nibbles on my earlobe.
Laying her out across the bed I unbutton her pants and slowly peel them off her. She holds her breath as I kiss my way back up her legs, one sweet kiss at a time.
The rest of the world melts away, until the early morning sun creeps in through the window of my room, it was only Madison and me and immense waves of pleasure over and over again. With the sun shining, the two of us finally collapse on the bed and fade off into a wonderful slumber holding tight to each other.
Chapter 12
Madison
My muscles are exhausted, and I contentedly feel like I could not move even if I wanted to. I’ve only ever slept with one other man, and nothing could compare to the explosions that I felt with Chase.
Chase’s strong arms are wrapped around my naked body. My eyes are closed, and the trace of a smile lingers on my lips, I am hovering somewhere in a trance-like state between sleep and being awake.
“Good morning,” Chase says dreamily pulling me in a bit tighter. Exhaling a sigh of relief, I can’t believe how much my life has changed in a matter of weeks.
“Morning handsome,” I blink open my eyes and notice Chase is looking at me with a smile on his face. Leaning up I offer a lingering kiss.
The kiss is interrupted by an unfamiliar low growling sound and a banging at the front door.
“MAKE YOURSELVES KNOWN RIGHT NOW!”
My heart races wildly. Chase is quick as he untucks me gently from his arms and hops up sliding on his clothes in a few graceful motions.
He’s got lots of practice with that as a wolf-shifter, I’m sure.
“Get dressed and stay here,” he turns to me before he leaves his room, and I can see the worry clouding his green eyes.
Hopping out of bed I search the floor with fumbling hands for my underwear. Sliding them on I gather the rest of my clothes and get dressed quickly, making sure to lace my boots tightly in case I need to make a run for it.
The voices downstairs are too muffled for me to hear from near the bedroom door, I creep toward the window and slowly push it open just a crack so I can better hear what’s being said.
“You want to tell me what the hell you did with my pack members?” The stranger yells and a chorus of growls follow his words.
He did not come alone.
But then again, why would he?
“What are you going on about?” Chase says in a calm and authoritative tone.
When the man speaks again, he’s far less frantic, I think, in an attempt to mimic Chase’s sense of authority.
“What am I supposed to think? You come out of nowhere with this weird mish-mash pack and set up right outside of my pack’s territory and now a few of my pack members have gone missing without a trace. You expect me to think that this is all just a coincidence?” The leader growls.
“We aren’t in any other packs territory. As a matter of fact, as it stands now, you’re the one barging into my pack’s territory. I don’t appreciate you coming here and making false accusations.” Chase says calmly.
“False accusations?” The man scoffs.
