I smirk and flip him off, but my attention snaps back to my phone when it vibrates.

Scarlet: I’m going to go take a bubble bath. I need something to help me relax.

Killian: You can take a bath, but don’t you dare touch that pussy while you’re in there.

She grins as she reads my message, and I’m practically panting. Thankfully, Declan called Cali so he’s deep in conversation with her and ignoring me.

Scarlet: Or what?

Killian: Or I’m going to peel your pajamas and panties down your legs when I get home, put you over my knee, and spank your bottom until you’ve learned your lesson. Do not disobey me, Little one.

Her cheeks turn bright pink as she reads my text.

Scarlet: You’re a big meanie.

Killian: Not denying that. But this big meanie is going to be the only one to make you come from now on and if you’re a good girl, you’ll get to come often and hard.

She pulls her bottom lip between her teeth as she glances up to the camera before she responds.

Scarlet: I don’t like you. You’re a gangster.

Killian: Keep telling yourself that, baby. I might be a gangster, but I’m your gangster. Go take a bath. Make sure that pussy is shaved bare for me, but don’t you dare pleasure yourself while you’re in there.

Scarlet: Why would I shave it bare? You’re not going to see it.

Killian: We’ll see about that. I’ll be home in a few hours. And, baby, I’ll know if you disobeyed me.

When she reads the message, she rolls her eyes dramatically but she’s smiling and I love seeing her like this. With one last glance at the camera lens, she sticks her tongue out at me before she saunters off toward the bathroom.

That’s my fucking girl. My naughty, sassy, sexy, Little girl. I might not see her pussy tonight, but I’m slowly breaking down her walls and getting under her skin. She was playing with me. That’s a step in the right direction. And fuck me, the sight of her in those panties will be forever burned into my mind.

When I get backto the safe house, I want to beeline for Scarlet’s room, but I have to update Bash and Grady first. They’re in the living room having a drink and when they take one look at my hands, Grady pours me a glass too.

“Our men all okay?” Bash asks.

“Yeah. Andrei found one of his guys who went AWOL and gave him to us. He wouldn’t give us any information before we killed him, though, other than the fact that they want to make us pay for killing Ivan.”

Grady shakes his head. “They have no idea what they’re up against.”

He’s right about that. They’re idiots if they think they can go up against the Irish and win.

“I’m going to go check on Scarlet. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”

Both men shoot me smug smiles, and I ignore them because one day, they’re going to experience the same feelings I’m having about Scarlet.

Instead of knocking, I walk right into her room. When I checked the camera during the flight home, she was in bed reading. She looks up from her tablet when I enter, her eyes roaming over me from head to toe.

“You’re still alive,” she says, and I don’t miss the hint of relief in her voice.

“Aye, baby. I’m not dying anytime soon.”

She watches me while I shrug out of my jacket and kick off my shoes. I need to shower before I touch her. When I start unbuttoning my shirt, she slowly sits up. It’s adorable how entranced she is by me undressing.

Suddenly her eyes widen, and she jumps out of bed. “Your hands. Oh my God, Killian.”

“I’m fine, baby.”
