That makes me smile. I can’t believe I almost didn’t give Killian a chance because of what he does. Sure, he’s dangerous and deadly. But only to those who deserve it. From the stories these women have told me in the short amount of time we’ve been here, it sounds like Declan, Killian, and all their loyal men will pretty much do anything to protect women.
“Your Daddies helped save us,” I tell them.
Addie nods. “It’s what they do. They’re amazing men. All of them.”
“Here’s some clean clothes for you to change into. I heard from Killian. They’re on their way to Seattle now but need to make a stop at our warehouse first,” Hawk says.
Cali and I go into Ellie’s playroom and change our clothes. The room is adorable. Based on all the toys and children’s books, I’m pretty sure she must play at a much younger age, and I wonder if I might be interested in going that young. It might be something to try. The bin of Barbies in the corner of the room definitely makes me itch to grab one and brush her hair. Since I’m not alone, I don’t.
“I think I want a room like this,” Cali says.
My eyes widen as I look at her. “Like, with toys and everything?”
She shrugs. “Maybe. It feels so magical in here. Don’t you think?”
“Yes,” I say. “It’s beautiful in here. Maybe I wouldn’t mind taking naps so much if I had such a beautiful and cozy bed like hers to take them in.”
We leave the room, taking one last look together before we go downstairs to our new friends. Wolf starts a movie for us. Together, we eat popcorn and of course, Cheetos. When Ellie told us they were one of her favorite snacks, I wanted to hug her.
The movie is almost over when I hear Killian’s voice and I nearly leap over the back of the couch to get to him. He’s freshly showered and wearing a new suit. I suspect it’s because his other suit was dirty and possibly bloody after they dealt with business. I’m not going to ask, though. It’s not the kind of information I want to know because it doesn’t matter. I know what kind of person he really is. A good one.
“Daddy, I missed you,” Cali says as she jumps into Declan’s arms.
He nuzzles her neck, and I can’t help but smile. I’m so happy for my sister. I’m also incredibly happy for me. I found my true love. The man who will fight for me no matter what.
Killian lifts me off my feet, and I wrap my legs around his waist before he presses his lips to mine with a heated kiss that leaves us both breathless.
“I love you.”
His eyes darken. “I love you too. As soon as we get home tonight, I’m going to fuck your tight little asshole so you’re mine completely.”
My nipples pucker against my bra and my breathing quickens. “I already am but I’d like that. I want you to be my first and only back there.”
“I’m going to be your only for the rest of our lives, baby girl. And you’re going to be mine.”
Tears spill down my cheeks. “Deal.”
“Finish your movie. We’ll go home when it’s over,” he says as he puts me down.
I grin and return to the couch. When Ellie passes me the bag of Cheetos, I hold it up to Killian.
“Want one?” I ask, fully expecting him to roll his eyes and turn me down.
He stares at the bag for a long moment before he reaches in and pulls out one of the bright orange finger-shaped puffs. “These are how we found you tonight. If it weren’t for these…things, we might not have gotten to you before the Russians.”
We all watch as he pops it into his mouth and crunches it. His eyebrows pull together, and he looks conflicted. Declan reaches into the bag too.
“Jesus Christ, these are fucking good,” Killian says as he reaches for another one.
“Motherfucker, theyaregood,” Declan mumbles around his mouthful.
My eyes bug out. I look to my sister. She’s stunned too.
Killian licks his fingertips, making my shock dissolve into arousal because holy fuck, that’s hot. I jump up from the couch and grab his hand. “I don’t need to finish the movie. Come on. Let’s go home.”

When the longline of SUVs pulls through the gates of Declan’s property, I feel like I’m able to really breathe for the first time since Ivan kidnapped me.
