“Cilla, your boyfriend is here.” Carina, I think it is, sings with a stupid smile.

I smile back but with my middle finger following. Her smile drops, and she glares at me.

Priscilla gets to her feet and sways toward me with her evil smile. “Closed practice but for you I’ll make an exception,” she purrs.

I rock back on my feet just as the door swings open from the other side of the gym, Cam and Ash walk through, already in practice uniform.

Priscilla whips her eyes back to me. “What is this?”

I smile brightly. “I don’t know, maybe because you keep telling everyone we fucked in that hotel room when really I was kicking you out.”

She folds her arms and chuckles. “Seriously? Is your little girlfriend still upset, it was just a joke? Poor baby,” she coos. “Just shows that she’s not the one for you.”

A joke? “Are you fucking mental?” My smile fades. “You cost me my fucking relationship because you wanted to use Jackson to get in my bed. You fucking lied to get in my room. For what? To run back and tell your squad of hoes that you fucked me when you couldn’t even get me to touch you?” I gesture to the rest of the squad, seething.

Her dark eyes widen when the girls gasp.

“Man, not all of them are hoes.” Cam nudges me from the side, nodding toward India who is now standing, and she is not happy. I just can’t tell whether it’s me or not because she isn’t looking me.

“My bad, I apologize. Only hoe I see is your captain,” I correct myself. “So, what do you have to say for yourself? To your squad, I believe the circle of trust has been broken?” I mock hurt.

Ash chuckles beside me and it’s hard not to laugh, so I pinch my lips together and shrug.

All eyes are on her now, some girls narrowing their eyes in her direction, others seem not to care, they are probably the ones that know the truth.

Priscilla waves me off with a shaky smile. “Please, as if I would ever have sex with you.”

Everything happens so fast, one moment India is standing a few feet away, next she is grabbing Priscilla’s long ponytail and landing a punch to her face, over and over. Some of the girls scream, while a few try to pull India off. Cam curses next to me before jumping into action. India’s hold on her hair doesn’t let up.

“You. Fucking. Bitch,” she snarls with each swing.

There’s blood on the ground, and the sight of it brings me to reality. Ash is in the crowd trying to get them to back away, so Cam can pull India off. I just stand here looking at what I caused, and I don’t give a fuck. She had it coming.

Finally, India lets go and pushes Priscilla to the floor, holding her nose.

“You crazy bitch!” she yells through her hand. “You’re off the fucking squad!”

India starts toward her, but Cam quickly wraps his arm around her waist, swinging her around.

“Bitch, fuck you, and this squad!” she yells back. “You love spreading rumors so much, go and tell everyone why I beat your ass!”

Cam whispers in her ear and she begins to calm down. What is that about? We wait until India grabs her bag from the stands and walk her outside. She is still trying to calm down and catch her breath, but she turns to me.

Her green eyes study me. “So, it wasn’t true?” She pauses. “I mean she was in your room, but it wasn’t like that?”

“Yeah.” I nod. “Said she wanted to talk about Jackson. Not so much.”

I don’t see the hit coming but I feel the sting from her punch when she pulls her fist back. “That’s for having that bitch in your room.” She rolls her eyes. “Look, I’ll talk to Bliss, she’s still pretty messed up. Just give her some time, and I’ll see what I can do.”

I hate that she’s so messed up over this, that she’s so broken, and I can’t fix her. I can’t even talk to her and tell her how much I love her.

“Thanks.” I swallow. “That means a lot, and I’m sorry about the whole thing in there. I didn’t mean for you to get kicked out or anything.”

A smile tugs at her lips. “Don’t even worry about it. Wasn’t for me anyway.”

Clearly not. India is kind of a savage, and I’m glad my girl has her for a best friend.

She gives me a reassuring smile. “After practice, grab some flowers, and come by, I’ll talk to her.”

“Yeah, get some flowers,” Ash chimes in smiling, I almost forgot they were standing there. “Let’s go lover boy.”

I glare at him. “Don’t call me that.” I look back to India. “I’ll be by later.”

Later can’t come fast enough.
