ADDISON

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would do such exhilarating things. I spent most of my life hiding from excitement, but with Wyatt, I wanted to be thrilling. I wanted to live. And since I was living on borrowed time with the man I loved, I wanted to soak up as much with him as I could.

After breakfast, we showered together before we left our bungalow for the day. As much as we both wanted to spend our entire honeymoon tangled up together in bed, there was no way I was going to leave Bora Bora without at least seeing a few sights.

Wyatt was, by far, the sexiest man on the island with his tousled dark hair and aviator shades. His shorts hung loosely on his hips, showing off the delicious cuts on his sides. With his shirt thrown over his shoulder, the sun gleamed against his tan skin and made him look like a god. And me, I was just some girl full of dishonesty who got to hold his hand and be by his side.

I tried not to think about it. I didn’t want to ruin the most amazing time of my life. Instead, I smiled and did something I didn’t plan on doing while I was pretending to be Allison.

I was myself.

And the best part was, Wyatt seemed to like Allison better when I was being Addison.

“Have you ever been snorkeling before?” Wyatt asked, drawing my attention back to the moment.

“Nope.”

He grinned, putting his arms around my shoulders and pulling me into his side. “You’re going to love it.”

The lagoon was even bluer in the daylight, surrounded by white sand beaches and towering palms. We acquired snorkels from our guide, and then we swam through the clear waters, pointing at the exotic fish and beautiful coral reefs. In the distance, green mountains surrounded us, making us feel as though we were the only people in the entire world.

On occasion, he would pull me to him, and I would wrap my arms and legs around him. We would hold each other as schools of colorful fish scattered around us. Reaching out, I let the fish skim my fingertips. It was like a dream I never wanted to wake from.

After that, we swam with the stingray and lemon sharks and watched as the guides fed them. I was scared but excited at the same time. Seeing Wyatt’s face light up when he laughed with the guides, I felt absolute satisfaction and happiness.

At one point, a shark slid against my side, and I went tense, but then Wyatt put his arms around me, and I had never felt more precious or safe in all my life.

He spent the entire excursion finding little ways to touch me. A soft caress on the underside of my arm, a fingertip along my jawline, or cupping my waist to direct me away from the sharks, he roamed his hands over my body nonstop, and each time his fingers touched me, I would get chills.

The distraction was needed. Especially after I had almost cried in front of him earlier this morning. And I found that doing things with Wyatt was fun. He was charismatic and friendly. Women watched him incessantly, even going as far as blatantly flirting with him in front of me, but not once did his attention stray. It was like he didn’t even notice the other women.

He only had eyes for me, and though being out in public with only a tiny bikini on wasn’t the most comfortable thing in the world, it was perfection. I had no choice but to bring Allison’s suitcase since she’d already packed for their honeymoon before the wedding. And while Allison and I were close in size, I was slightly larger than her. My breasts were a bit fuller as well as my hips and bottom.

The tiny bikini she had packed made me feel out of my element, and after I had put it on, Wyatt had taken one look at me before he threatened to toss me on the bed and have his way with me again. His eyes had drifted over my body, and he had grinned like a predator before stalking toward me.

He skimmed his nose down my jawline, and whispered, “You’re going to torture me all day in this thing.” Then he moved away, and his jaw went tense. “And I’m going to spend the day chasing men away.”

At that, I had laughed. “Yeah, right.”

“I’m serious, babe. Have you seen yourself in this thing?” he asked, running a finger along the little scrap of fabric covering my breasts. “I might do something drastic if I catch another man looking at you.”

His touch of jealousy was a turn-on. It was kind of hot to imagine him turning into a beast and attacking any man who tried to speak to me.

“Oh, really? Like what?” I asked, wanting to hear more about all the things he would do to protect me.

He pulled me into his arms and kissed me sweetly on the lips. The way he kissed me—the feel of being his—all felt too good to be true.

“Either I’ll beat his ass or throw you over my shoulder and haul your gorgeous ass back here to ravish you,” he said against my mouth.

I giggled against his lips and pulled away, losing my fingers in his thick hair. “I like it when you act like a caveman.”

“Is that so?” he asked before he picked me up and tossed me onto the bed.

Thankfully, my bikini wasn’t quite the showstopper he thought it would be, and we had no problems. He, on the other hand, couldn’t stop touching me and mentioning how he couldn’t wait to get me back to our bungalow.

Once we were back on the dock, I slid on the cover-up Allison had packed that matched the bikini and pushed my feet into a pair of glittery flip-flops. When I finished, I stood and watched as Wyatt towel dried his hair. My eyes fell over his tanned chest, and down to the little patch of hair below his navel I was beginning to love.
