“Is that so?”

He nodded. “Oh yeah.” Then he leaned in and whispered in my ear. “You wouldn’t be able to walk straight for a week when I finished with you.”

I very seriously doubted that. I took a pull from my drink to keep from saying that out loud.

“I’ve never seen you here before,” I said, changing the subject.

Not that I paid much attention to the people around me. At The Strip, my attention was on the races or Koah.

“I don’t get over this way much, but I felt like winning some money.” He shrugged.

“You race?”

“Oh yeah,” he said, motioning toward his bike across the way.

It was black with orange accents. It was nice but not nearly as badass as Koah’s.

“Maybe I can take you for a ride sometime,” he said, lifting a brow.

He was talking about me riding something other than his bike, but I played stupid.

“I haven’t ridden on many motorcycles. Only one, actually.”

He moved closer, and I grew tense. I looked over at where Sadie was, and she smiled back at me. That gave me relief. At least if he tried something, she would see and help me out.

I turned away, and when I did, I saw Koah staring back at me. He was watching. As bad as it sounded, I suddenly became very interested in Twitch or whatever his name was. It was wrong, but I had watched him tongue the redhead like I had never existed. It was only fair.

I moved closer to Twitch and grinned. “I might take you up on the ride. Maybe you’ll go harder than the last guy I rode with.”

“Mmm,” he hummed, moving closer and breathing me in.

I didn’t like it, but I could still feel Koah’s eyes on us, and I wanted him to think I wasn’t waiting around pining after him.

Twitch palmed my ass, pulling me into his hips. It was then I felt his hard length against my thigh. Alerts went off in my mind. Too far. I had let things go too far and felt like the world was spinning. Apparently, I didn’t like being touched by anyone but Koah.

I reached up to push Twitch from me, but before I could do so, he was pulled away.

Koah glared at him, his nostrils flaring with his breaths. He looked like an angry bull ready to smash through Twitch.

“Is there something you need, Twitch?” he asked. It was apparent he didn’t like the guy.

Twitch lit a cigarette and chuckled. “I’m trying to get what I need. What can I do for you, Saint?”

It felt as if Koah grew larger at that moment, his muscles tense and his face transforming into something evil and dangerous.

“You can get on your bike and get the fuck out of our territory,” Koah spat.

The moment was edgy, and I had never seen the look in Koah’s eyes before. He looked murderous.

“You got beef with the Border Lords?” Twitch questioned, but the lift in his brow said he already knew the answer.

Koah snatched the cigarette from his lips and tossed it. “You know I do, motherfucker. Don’t make me tell you again. Leave and never look at her again,” he snarled, nodding toward me.

He acted like a jealous boyfriend, but I knew that wasn’t right because he had already told me we were just friends.

“Is she yours?” Twitch asked.

Koah moved closer, his fists opening and closing at his sides, waiting for a fight. “Does it fucking matter? I said never look at her again. If I catch you anywhere near her, I’ll rip your fucking balls off.”
