Fallon scoffs next to me. “As if! Have youseenthe chemistry between him and MacKenzie?” I hide my giggle behind my hand, I’m pretty sure it’s not thechemistrythat have caught both hers and Dominick's attention. I’d put good money on that it’s a pair of double-Ds that have them so enthralled.

Shaking my head, I lean forward and snag a handful of buttery goodness. “Naw, you’re just obsessed with her tits.” I smirk at the blush that forms on Fallon’s face. “Hey, they’re great! If I was into that kinda thing I would also be all over them. But even being straight as an arrow, I can appreciate a good pair when I see one.”

Rolling her eyes, Fallon hits me with the pillow clutched in her hands. “Yeah, whatever.” She grumbles, her face lit up with a smile even as she complains.

“But,” I interject. “Dominick and Natalie have a legit connection. There’s no way he’s not going to pick her!” Fallon shakes her head and is about to argue when the man in question’s voice filters through the tv speakers.

“MacKenzie,” Stopping in front of her, he clasps the rose between his hands. “I’ve loved every moment we’ve gotten to spend together.”

“I’m sure you have.” I snicker, earning me a glare from my couch buddy. Holding my free hand up in surrender, I run my fingers across my lips in a zipper motion.

On screen, Dominick continues, “You’re such an amazing person.”

But.

Shoving the last of my handful of popcorn into my mouth, I snatch up a pillow, clutching it to my chest as I desperately hope there’s going to be a but.

“But,” I can’t contain the squeal that erupts from me as he says the one thing I was hoping for. “I’m going to have to choose Natalie.” I leap up from the couch screaming as he turns and hands the rose to Natalie.

Fallon grumbles and crosses her arms over her chest. “Stupid fucking men. Never know a good thing if it smacks them in the face.”

“Oh come on now.” I tease, tossing my pillow at her grumpy face, earning myself a glare. “You’ve got to admit they’re good together.” I gesture toward the tv.

She takes a moment to study the two beautiful humans and finally nods with a sigh. “Fine. I’ll give you that. Theydolook good together.”

I squeal and grab hold of her hands, dragging her up from the couch. We hop in place, excited and giddy to finally reach the conclusion of months of drama.

A ding sounds as the elevator doors open. My excitement dies down as heat floods my core at the promise of seeing my own personal bachelor the sound offers. I drop Fallon’s hands and turn toward the lift, my mouth opening as I’m about to greet said man.

“What the fuck?” Killian growls as he strides into the space, a very amused Arriana trailing behind him.

I place my hand on my hip, gesturing toward them with my other. “I could ask you the same thing.” I snap.

Killian marches over to me, stopping inches from my body and glaring down at me, chest heaving with his heavy breaths. We’re locked onto each other's eyes, electricity crackling in the air from the frustration exuding from both our bodies.

“You’re supposed to tell me if you’re having anyone over.” He seethes between clenched teeth.

I glower up at him. “I did.” Crossing my arms over my chest, I roll back my shoulders, jutting my breasts forward. His eyes trail down to the heavy mounds before snapping back up to my eyes. “It’s not my fault you didn’t check your phone.” I gripe, rolling my eyes.

“Oh don’t mind him.” A cheery voice calls out from the other side of the room. “He’s just grumpy because we got shot at.” My eyes widen in horror at Arriana’s simple explanation for my man’s irrational anger.

Spinning around, Killian redirects his fury at the tiny spitfire of a woman currently chuckling to herself. “Enough.” He barks, glaring daggers at her.

I reach a shaky hand out and place it on his back. Tensing under my touch, he freezes. “Killian?” I whisper. When he doesn’t respond, I try again. “Killian? You were shot at? Are you okay?” My voice breaks as the thought of losing him crosses my mind.

Quickly turning back to me, he envelops me in his arms, the earlier anger forgotten. “It’s okay baby girl. I’m okay. Don’t worry.” Shooting another glare at Arriana, he returns his focus back to me, placing a soft kiss to the top of my head. “It was nothing, promise.”

Arriana scoffs from her watchful position and I can feel every muscle of his body tense. Burying my face into his chest, I wrap my arms around his body.

A soft voice sounds behind me. “Ava, I think I’m gonna take off.” Fallon mutters quietly, back to her shy demeanor now that it’s not just the two of us.

Extracting myself from Killian’s arms, I give him a stern look. “We’re going to talk about this later.”

I don’t give him a chance to respond to my demand as I make my way over toward my friend. Pulling her into a hug, I whisper into her ear, “Sorry about this. We’ll get together soon, yeah?” She nods, hugging me back.

We pull apart and I watch as she gathers her things and turns to make her way toward the exit. She freezes, hand still mid air from shrugging on her jacket, her eyes locked on Arriana. I look between the two women who are suddenly captivated by each other.

No. Absolutely not. No. Fucking. Way.
