Page 46 of My Little Girl

I step in front of my friend, playing goalie against whatever hormones are coursing through her veins right now.

Anyone else. Literally any other human being on this planet.

“Fallon. Babe.” I try pulling her attention to me but she’s still hyper focused on the crazy woman behind me.

Arriana’s voice sounds again as she makes her way further into the condo. “Hey there, I’m Arriana.” I tense as I hear her grow closer, ready to fight the bitch if she tries anything.

Come on. Give me a reason.

Fallon smiles shyly at her, ducking her head and peering up through her lashes. “Fallon.” She whispers.

“Fallon?” Arriana repeats.

Fallon mumbles her confirmation.

“Hmm,” Arriana muses. “I like that. I like ita lot.” My jaw grinds at her obvious inflection. Brushing against my shoulder, Arriana comes to a stop before my poor, innocent friend.

Innocent? Are we entirely sure about that.

My scowl deepens as the unwanted thought crosses my mind.

“Want me to walk you out? Not safe for a beauty such as yourself to travel alone at night.” Fallon blushes as Arriana winks at her.

Nodding her head, Fallon darts her eyes to me before looking back at Arriana. “Yes.” She murmurs, her blush deepening. “I’d like that very much thank you.”

I watch in silent disbelief as my friend makes her way toward the elevator with the one person I would consider to be my archenemy.

Why? Of all the people Fallon. Whyher?

The doors ding open and both women climb inside. Fallon sends a small wave my direction as the elevator closes, effectively leaving the three of us alone in the room.

Killian, myself, and our palpable fury.

My chest heaves with the anger boiling beneath my skin, the interaction I just witnessed only worsening my mood. I turn slowly toward the man who orchestrated this whole shit show.

Our heated gazes meet, a fury burning in his eyes to match my own. We stare at each other in silence for a long time before I can get anything past the overwhelming emotions. “What did you just do?” I seethe, biting out each word.

He doesn’t reply, stomping forward. Stopping in front of me, he darts out his hand and grips the hair at the back of my neck, yanking my head back. “I think you’ve forgotten who I am, little girl.” He growls.

Leaning forward, his hot breath ghosts along my skin. Speaking low into my ear, he tightens the fist holding me. “Looks like you need a reminder.”

I glower at him, my heart pounding erratically in my chest. “Fuck you.” I snap.

“Oh I plan to.” He laughs, the sound dark and sinister. I suppress a shudder at the words, shaking my head vehemently. Tugging my head back further, he bites down on my exposed throat.

An image of Killian having two long pointed fangs to sink into my sensitive flesh flashes through my mind. My thighs clench against the growing need pulsing through my body.

Growling, he leans back. “Strip.” He commands, not releasing his hold on me.

I glare at him as I shrug out of the spaghetti strapped sleep top, pulling the straps over my shoulders before shimmying it down my torso. Killian’s eyes track each movement as I push the top and shorts down my legs. With no underwear or bra on, I’m now naked before him.

Fighting against the urge to cover myself under his intense gaze, I deflect with the anger still coursing through me. “I hate you right now.” I snarl, my hands balling into fists.

Killian barks a laugh. “Doesn’t matter, baby girl. I’m going to fuck you anyway.” My breath catches, tears filling my eyes.

I stupidly thought we had something. ThatIwas something. But we didn’t, I’m not. I’m nothing more than a body to use when he wants.

I silently vow to not let my heart get anymore involved with this horrific monster.
