Where the hell am I going to live?

What money am I going to earn?

I don't think the crew will kick me out, but I also don't want to be a freeloader. To continue avoiding, I step away from the crew and walk outside. I open my texts and begin typing in the family group.

Austin:Start thinking about packing for Aspen! I know Nova will quote some Rachel from Friends shit! 'SWOOSH' We have a few days, let Kit know if there are any issues, he planned it all!

Nova:I don't have any skis!

Why the hell is she leaving this to the last minute?

Kit:You can rent them!

Mia:I won't ski, I'm taking several books :-D

I walk back inside when I feel the tips of my ear are ready to drop off. The boys instantly stop using the weights and look at me. I hate the look. There's way too much pity in them. "Is anyone going to help Nova out?" I ask.

"I will," Kit replies. "I rent mine so I can get a discount."

"The girls crew are just going to look pretty in their suits holding some sort of girly alcoholic drink in their hands whilst taking selfies; you know that right?" Lucas laughs.

"I don't mind looking at them," Kit teases. "As long as I can do it holding a beer myself!"

"And I'm having to be careful otherwise they will try to stop me." I hold up my still plastered arm. My ribs still sing a little, too. I haven't checked the insurance because I want complete ignorance when, if, something goes wrong.

"What is it?" Sawyer steps up next to me.

The dude senses everything, like he has a sixth sense. I shake my head not wanting to have this conversation, but my only option is leaving the room, and I'm not that rude. "I don't know." I go with the vague answer.

“You to have to talk to her. I mean, we have plenty of ears going spare, but I think her answer is the one you're seeking."

I nod. "I appreciate it, but I literally don't know what's going on with me."

I'm here watching them carry through with the drills because I don't know where else I'm meant to be. I don't know what to do with the time that I have spare. I've never had a moment where I'm not regimented. I don't know how to tell them this. I let them talk among themselves until Lucas stares at me.

"She talks in her sleep..."

I grind my teeth, not sure if I should defend my girl. "How do you know?"

"Avery..."

The two of them talk about that stuff? When do they find the time? Had they swapped digits? I roll my eyes, it’s not important.

"Maybe that could be a starting point?" Sawyer suggests.

I sigh. "I don't even know where to begin. She's been keeping something from me since day one. I don't know if these dreams are connected to the something bigger..."

"I repeat, talk to her." Sawyer shrugs. "Nothing you come up with in your head is going to be good so you might as well find out the truth from her directly."

"Are you using the dreams to avoid what's happening with you?"

Lucas hits the bullseye.

Yes.

Absolutely.

"You can re-train your arm..." Sawyer murmurs.
