“Sure. Anytime.”

I walk out the door, and though the worry is still there, I can’t predict what Geneva will say.

There was only one thing left to do as my driver drove us back to the club. When I enter, I don’t want to make it known I’m watching her. Everyone she interacts with has a smile on their faces, and it’s because she lights up any room she enters.

Aldus spots me, and I offer a curt nod, then motion for the office.

But on the way to the office, I spot a guy grabbing Geneva’s ass, and all I see it red. I’m on the guy in a flash pulling his up by his shirt, and it rips. “Out! Now!”

“Who the fuck are you?” the man has the gall to ask.

“I’m her boyfriend, and I’m the owner. Get the fuck out! Now!”

“That was not necessary, and why are you here?” Geneva asks with a tray in one hand. “Do you not trust me?”

“I trust you. It’s the customers like that prick I don’t trust. And I have business with Aldus. Now get back to work.” Grinning, I grab her ass firmly, and she yelps. “I’m the only one that is allowed to grab this.”

She rolls her eyes. “You’re annoying, you know that? You’re going to scare all the customers away.”

“Mmmm, we’ll discuss that later. I have business to attend to.”

Yeah, she probably won’t be happy that I talked to Livia without talking to her first.

Chapter Seventeen

GENEVA

“Ready to head home?” he asks as I load into the SUV from my four-hour shift.

“Yeah. I need to shower immediately.”

“Okay.”

When we arrive at his place, he is acting weird. Like he is thinking about something.

“Dominick, what is it?”

“That obvious?”

“Yes. Now tell me.”

I set my handbag down, and sit on the couch while he gets us both a drink. “You know how I was saying we should talk about your living situation?”

“Yeah.” I take the glass from him and take a drink right away.

“Well, I went to talk to Livia.”

“You what?” My eyes bug out.

“But it’s only because I want you both to live somewhere safe. I offered for her to live in the guesthouse, or I could put a down payment on a place in a safer neighborhood, not far from here actually.”

“Why would you do that?”

“Because I wanted to ask you to move in. And I thought if you knew she was close by, you’d be willing to do so. And I really do want you both to be safe. You don’t have to move in here, I’ll still put a payment down if you want to live with her...”

I interrupt him. “Dominick.”

“What?”
