Astera puts an arm around my shoulders and smiles at me.

“Thank you,” I tell her.

Our next stop is spent picking out flowers for my bouquet, and getting something for Astera. And I had to take it upon myself to order boutonnieres for the guys, whether they dress up or not. I wouldn’t expect them to.

Back at the club, I turn to Astera. “Thank you for spending the day with me and thinking of things that needed to be done last minute.”

“I’m just glad it was a success. And I’m going to call the guy that married Griffin and me to see if he can make a last-minute request.”

“Oh, that would be awesome. Thank you again.”

“You’re welcome, love. Hopefully, Becca has some food out because I am starved.”

“Hey, princess,” Hayden greets me, wrapping his big muscular arms around me.

“Hey. Astera helped me with a dress, no peeking. And we picked a venue to get married, and I got the flowers ordered. Almost everything is taken care of.”

“Perfect.” He kisses my forehead. “Come and eat.”

“Let me put these away first,” I say about the dresses. “My stomach is growling.”

When I sit at the table, Astera is already eating, and she looks at me. “The one place we didn’t go was a bakery. I knew we couldn’t order a cake with that much short notice.”

That’s when Becca appears. “I can make the cake.”

“Oh no, I couldn’t possibly ask you to do that.”

“Mom will make your cake. No arguments,” Cutter says as a matter of fact.

“I appreciate it.”

“I’m am happy to do it.”

“Guess that is settled,” Astera adds.

Hayden and me sit at the table to eat dinner. Becca made a full Italian meal spread of garlic bread, lasagna, and meatballs.

“This looks delicious.”

Now a typical to-be bride would look at all those carbs and run far away. Thankfully, I am not the typical bride and enjoy eating all the carbs. And as much as Hayden and I get busy, I probably burn some of it off anyway. I giggle to myself as I eat.

“What’s so funny?” Hayden asks.

“I’ll tell you later.”

He winks, and I almost melt into a puddle right there. Then he places a hand firmly on my thigh, and I have no idea how I am supposed to eat with that type of distraction.

“You guys can borrow the cabin for your honeymoon if you don’t have other plans,” Cutter states.

Hayden clears his throat. “That is very generous. We might take you up on that offer.”

“Thank you,” I add. And I feel like I have been saying ‘thank you’ nonstop today.
