Her heart clenched as she realized only with Blake had a man taken care of her needs first. Kissing her navel, letting his tongue slide down her belly until he arrived at her center. His tongue spearheaded through her folds, pushing inside her and sending desire rippling up her spine.

A groan escaped her throat and she clenched the bed covers. “Oh, Blake," she whispered, throaty. “I’m not going to last long if you continue this.”

A deep chuckle reached her ears. “We have all night.”

He was putting her first and her chest almost burst with loving pain.

Over and over, his tongue and teeth sent pleasure spiraling through her as strong as the storm outside. And then he pulled her legs onto his shoulders, pulling her even closer.

He kissed the inside of her thigh, his mouth blazed a trail up her leg to the juncture. Lovingly, he caressed her, sending tremors racing through her body as he licked leisurely at the folds between her legs.

His tongue circled her clit, bringing her right to the brink of an orgasm before he backed off and then came at her again and again, shaking her gently, driving her insane with need for this gentle giant.

Placing his hand beneath her butt, he lifted her and angled his mouth at just the right height to thrust his tongue deep inside her, devouring her hungrily. Clutching at his head, she held him there, moaning as the orgasm she'd been holding off overwhelmed her and sent her over the edge. With a cry, she bucked against his mouth as her body filled with tingles that left her shaking.

"Blake," she whispered, now knowing her memories were accurate. There was chemistry between them that she’d never experienced before. Desire unlike anything she’d ever felt.

In a daze, she watched as he crawled up her limp body.

“You’re what I want,” he said before sliding into her slick body. Breathing heavily, they stared into each other's eyes, and she could feel his heart pounding inside his chest, reassuring her that they were great together. And then he shoved into her, thrusting hard.

"Blake," she gasped, unable to talk as he moved within her, filling, completing her. With each thrust, he seemed to hit every nerve, every muscle, every stroke reaching her heart, filling it with emotions she’d never dreamed were possible.

Clinging to him, she felt another orgasm rushing toward her like a tornado. Urgency filled every breath as she held to him. With every gasp, they were in sync; they were one. And she could see from gazing into his eyes, that he felt the emotion as much as she did.

This felt so right. So perfect, like they were meant to be together.

Tears welled and leaked from between her lids as she cried out as passion surged through them at the same time. They both came, and this time when they finished, he wrapped his arms around her and simply held her.

“Thank you," he said quietly. “You made me forget about the storm outside. About what I lost the last time.”

“I’m glad,” she said snuggling deeper into his body. It was then that she remembered they had not used a condom.

With a sigh, she shook her head. But she was not going to ruin this moment. Not now. And the thought of having another baby with Blake was somehow all right.

Just then the radio crackled.

“Looks like the storm has passed.”

Blake picked up the walkie and then glanced back at her. “Good to know. We’re going to stay in the safe room a little longer.”

Then he turned off the device and came back to her. He brushed her hair from her face and smiled down at her.

“You don’t know how long I’ve dreamed of doing this again. Or how many times I regretted running out early that morning. I made a huge mistake and I’m going to make it up to you.”

“Oh?”

“Yes,” he said grinning down at her. “We’ve got all night.”

Warmth filled her. This was what she wanted—Blake in her arms once again.

CHAPTER 18

The next morning, Blake stood out on the patio watching the sun brighten the sky, showing the path of destruction left by the storm. They were lucky.

All of his brothers had hunkered down in their storm shelters and no one had died because of the storm. The roof had blown off of their workers’ housing. The barn had been flattened, but the animals had been turned loose, and this morning, the horses had returned to the area.

There was debris scattered as far as he could see, but everyone was safe and that was all that mattered. This time, he hadn’t lost a loved one. This time, they were all still here.
