“Yes,” he said.

Giving her a very satisfying kiss, he walked out the door. Glancing up at the clear skies, he gave thanks that no one had been hurt last night. Not even their animals.

The day passed quickly with him in the pasture picking up debris. They had put a blue tarp on the bunkhouse that would remain until the insurance company could take a look. So far, they had found a lot of the missing tack from the barn and put it in a storage shed until they could get the barn rebuilt.

Already, Adrian had ordered the lumber and they had cleaned the site to prepare it for the construction. It had been a busy day with him not getting to see Cristina as much as he’d hoped.

“Quitting time,” his older brother yelled.

It was three o’clock and time for his brothers to meet Cristina and Wyatt. Blake took off sprinting across the pasture to his home at the end of the road.

When he opened the door, Cristina had everything packed and was about to load the car. “I thought I’d have everything ready to go. That way I can spend more time with your family. I do want to meet your brothers.”

“Great,” he said, picking up Wyatt in the baby carrier. Who would have thought this would be his life now?

“But first, my family is all excited to meet you and even my brother Cody managed to get away from training camp. He wanted to check on all of us and to meet you,” he said grinning.

Reaching up, she kissed him on the lips. “Soon, we need to talk about last night.”

What was there to talk about except that he was ready to put a ring on her finger?

“All right,” he said. “But not now. Let’s have some fun.”

Taking her by the arm, they went outside and walked down to the main area around the big house. His brother Adrian had been smoking a brisket all day and their housekeeper Susan along with her daughter Madison had fixed all kinds of delicious sides.

It was also a celebration of the fact that they all lived through the tornado.

Adrian met them coming down the drive. “Hi, I’m Adrian, the oldest.”

“Cristina,” she said.

Blake couldn’t contain the grin on his face as he lifted the baby carrier. “And this is Wyatt.”

Adrian smiled down at the baby who blew a raspberry at him, his brows drawing together.

“Those blue eyes,” Adrian said.

“And that mouth and chin. He has dad’s mouth and chin,” he said.

His other brothers came running over.

“Hi, I’m Cody,” his football player brother said. “Can’t stay long. I have to get back in time for a late evening practice.”

“Dakota,” his quiet younger brother said.

“Evan. Dakota and I are twins,” he said shaking her hand.

“Garth,” the baby of the siblings said, gazing at her.

Blake watched as Cristina shook hands with each of his brothers.

“Where’s our nephew?” Garth said.

Blake took him out of the carrier and held him in his arms. The baby glanced around at them.

Finally, he turned his face toward his mother and gave a little cry.

She took him and he quietened down again.
