“What the hell do you mean she isn’t there?”

“Door was unlocked, but she ain’t here. No guards by the gate either.”

“Maybe she forgot to lock it when she left. I’m sure she’ll be right back,” he tells me. I shake my head. I don’t think so. I don’t like the feeling I have in the pit of my stomach. I hang up the phone with him anyway.

I wander around the house, checking things out, but there is no sign of her anywhere.

“She’s not here,” I repeat myself. She should be here. She knew I was coming. I step into her room, and on the bed is a beautiful long white dress with a slit up the side. I’m sure she was planning on wearing that tonight, and I would have had the best time stripping her out of it, too.

“Where are you, Olson?” I ask myself as I dial her number. When it rings, I can hear the faint sound of it ringing somewhere in the house. I follow the sound and find it in her living room. She wouldn’t have left without her phone. She isn’t that stupid. She knows she needs to be safe and in contact with people. Something gnaws at the pit of my stomach as I dial one more number.

“Yeah?”

“Mystic, it’s Ridge. I need a favor,” I tell him.

“Don’t you all. What do you need?”

“I’m at my girl's place in Cali. She isn’t here, and she was supposed to be. What can you do to hack into her video feeds?”

“I can do that. I’ll just need some information first,” he says. I give him the information he asks me for, rattling it off as quickly as I can.

“How quickly do you need it?”

“Now. She’s gone, man. I need to know why she’s gone and who has her.”

“You sure someone has her?” he asks.

“No. But she wouldn’t leave here knowin’ I was on my way.” I can hear him typing on the other end of the line, and I wish he could do this a little faster.

“A man came to the door a few hours ago. Shit, Ridge. He had a gun,” he tells me. It’s Gabe. It has to be Gabe.

“Can you send me an image?”

“Yeah, I’m on it now,” he says just as my phone pings. I don’t know what the fuck I’m up against here when I look down at the screen and see an image of her with a gun to her head. My heart races now.

“Fuck me,” I grumble.

“Not lookin’ good, brother. Anything else you need?”

“No. I owe you one,” I tell him before hanging up the phone. I quickly dialed Cage and let him know what I found out before calling the Los Angeles Prez, Cooper, to see if they could offer me any assistance.

“We got you, brother. Come on down here,” he says as I sigh. Thank fuck. As I hang up the phone and leave Olson’s house, I get a few more texts from Mystic. It appears Gabe killed the guard who was out front and put him in the trunk of the car he took Olson in.

I race toward the California Bleeding Ace’s clubhouse as quickly as I can with this damn traffic. As soon as I see the logo on the large brick building a sense of relief washes over me. I pull into the parking lot, and two prospects immediately greet me. I explain to them who I am and where I’m from before they nod and lead me inside.

It’s a nice clubhouse. It's something like what we have back home but a little bigger since they have more members than we do.

“Ridge?” The tall man in front of me asks. I nod my head and extend my hand to him.

“That’s me.”

“I’m Cooper. Good to meet you.”

“You, too. I appreciate you lettin’ me come by,” I tell him.

“Let’s get to it. Who is missin’?”

“My girl is. I was supposed to meet her at her house, and I called in some favors. She has a stalker named Gabe. I couldn’t get much information on him, to begin with, but he’s the one who took her. Killed her guard, too.”
