The guy at the desk chuckles and looks at me with mischief in his eyes. “I’m not sure. I was about to introduce myself to the person Susan arrived with. I’m not sure if she’s Lennon or not, but I have a fairly good idea that she is.”

I chuckle softly at his antics as Albert’s head snaps up and a big smile grows on his face. He steps closer and then I’m enveloped in his arms. He’s always been a nice guy and it’s taken years and a handful of trips he’s taken with Mom up to Seattle, for me to be this comfortable with him.

Albert wraps his arm around my shoulders and faces us toward Susan and the receptionist. “Lennon, this is Jack. He’s the face of the executive floor,” there’s a chuckle in his voice. “You’ll meet the rest of the executive assistants, and we have Susan sifting through applications for yours as well.”

I’m more than a little stunned at his words. Having another set of hands for everything I’ll be overseeing makes me feel a little better, but the idea of being anyone’s boss is terrifying. I really shouldn’t be allowed this kind of authority and power.

Doesn’t Albert know that the only thing I’ve ever truly organized, or run have been some motorcycle club clubhouses? That’s not really something I can put on my resume.

I force a smile on my face and look at Jack, “It’s nice to meet you.”

“We’ll be seeing a lot of each other. If there’s anything you want me to make sure is stocked as far as drinks or coffee preferences, let me know and I’ll make sure it’s there for you,” Jack assures me with a friendly grin.

I shoot him a grateful look, but then stiffen when I hear more doors opening down the hallway. I have a feeling I won’t be able to put off meeting my stepbrothers any longer. I’m dreading this moment so damn much; I can hardly breathe.

Albert chuckles, “My sons have been looking forward to finally meeting you.” Jack and Susan don’t look at all surprised by his declaration. Is this common knowledge around here? “Maybe I should have insisted they come up to Seattle during one of our visits,” Albert frowns with his words like he’s just now realizing how ridiculous this whole situation is.

I wouldn’t have been receptive to that plan anyway. Honestly, I probably would have run away.

When three men walk into the reception area, my jaw practically hits the fucking floor. Standing in front of me are the three men I spent the night with at Club Ecstasy. I blink quite a few times, but nothing is changing in front of me.

This can’t be happening to me right now. It just can’t. My luck isn’t this bad, right?

What the fuck? I fucked my three stepbrothers a few days ago. Multiple times. It was the best and most erotic sexual experience of my life.

I never thought I would see those men again, especially after I didn’t get their names. Now they’re standing in front of me looking at me like they’re fucking starving and I’m the most delicious morsel they’ve ever seen. My pussy fucking throbs with the reminder of how damn good it was and how much I want it to happen again.

But it can’t happen again. Especially now. They’re my stepbrothers?

Did they know who I was the other night? How the hell did this happen? Am I going to be able to be in the same room with them ever again?

I thought it was going to be bad before I met them because we’re all adults being forced into the idea of a family, but this is so much worse than I thought it was going to be. I’m not sure I can do this. No. No, I can’t fucking do this.

I snap my mouth closed when I realize the men in front of me do not look as surprised as I feel. Not by a long shot. I narrow my eyes at them and the one I assumed was the oldest the other night, the one who fucked me first, steps forward.

“Lennon,” his voice is smooth with a placating note mixed into it and it reminds me how hot it was the other night, “I’m Lachlan.” I nod slowly and glance up at Albert to see the look of pride and excitement on his face. He motions to his brothers. “This is Kemp,” he indicates the one I figured was the middle brother before he does the same with the youngest of the bunch, “and this is Jordan.”

“Hello,” my voice is so much weaker than I want it to be.

I’ve never been great when I’m caught off guard and I don’t know if I should scream and yell, cry, or run away as fast as I can. My body is trying to riot, and I start shaking slightly as I take a small step away from Albert.

He looks so damn happy that the ‘family’ or whatever the hell we are, is together finally. I swear he’s about three seconds from spontaneously bursting into song. As if this is a musical and we’re just entertainers in this life.

My voice is tight as I force the words past my lips, “It’s nice to meet you.” I look back over at Susan, hoping she saves me while not knowing why I need to be saved. “Are you showing me to my office?”

Albert pipes up quickly, “Oh, I’ll take over your tour from here, Lennon. I’m looking forward to it.” As he starts leading me away from the group he adds on, “It’ll give me the chance to remind you about family dinner. Abigail is extremely excited to finally have everyone around the table at the same time.”

My stomach drops and my heart starts to pound in my chest. There is no way I’m going to be able to survive family dinner. I know what my stepbrother’s cocks look like and how damn good they feel inside of me. I should not be allowed to sit around the table with them. Not even a little bit.

I can feel their eyes on me as Albert leads me away from the reception area, but I don’t look back. I can’t. I won’t.

This is going to be a disaster.

CHAPTER 6

KEMP

Lennon has been avoiding us in the office for the last few days. It’s obvious to the point that it’s adorable. Frustrating and adorable.
