“Maybe he’s right,” Kemp threw in.

I should have known because it’s about 50/50 on who Kemp will back between Jordan and me. Sometimes that’s a good thing because we both need the balance. Jordan can be too wild, and I can be too rigid.

But don’t think that Kemp is the calm one amongst us. He’s not. I think sometimes he chooses what side he’s on depending on who is going to be more pissed. Kemp is a shit stirrer with a bad boy edge which women have always loved.

For him to be interested in Lennon surprised me the most.

“What are we going to do about this? It’s a problem,” my voice was hoarse and filled with frustration.

Jordan shrugged his shoulders like it was no fucking big deal and winked at me. “I don’t really see the problem.”

“Fuck, Jordan,” I growled as Kemp chuckled. “You really don’t see the problem? We all want her and all we’ve seen is a damn picture of her.”

“That makes this serious, not necessarily a problem,” he shot back at me without a fucking care in the world.

I groaned, “Please, explain.”

He shot me a look like I was the idiot of the group even though I was damn sure it was him. “We can all have her,” his tone was calm, too fucking calm.

I shot out of my seat and roared, “What?”

Jordan shot me a smug as fuck look like he was expecting that kind of reaction from me. I looked to Kemp, hoping he would be on my side and outraged right along with me, but he wasn’t. He had a thoughtful expression on his face like Jordan’s idea had merit.

It didn’t.

Well, I didn’t think it did at the time.

I stormed away from my brothers, unwilling to continue the conversation if they weren’t going to take it seriously. The longer I sat with Jordan’s idea, the more appealing it became. It took me a while to come around to the idea fully.

Really, I didn’t want to stand in the way of my brothers, but everything in me was screaming that Lennon was mine. Changing my thinking towards her beingourstook some time, but I got there eventually.

Since then, it’s been a waiting game because Lennon has refused to come down to Phoenix and meet us. I didn’t understand it at first, not until I started digging and found out more about her life in Seattle.

She made a family for herself. Not just in Seattle, though. She found a family in the Devil’s Saints MC and not just the Seattle chapter. I wasn’t thrilled when I found that out, but that didn’t stop me from digging and keeping tabs on her.

I know she arrived back in Phoenix last night after moving down here months ago and then leaving for Charlotte immediately. It took a lot of fucking control on my part not to make her stay here, but I didn’t think making demands of her, considering she’s been so damn independent for a long time, would endear her to me.

Knowing that she’s going to be starting work soon at the office makes me feel fucking giddy. And I’m not a man who gets giddy.

She’s going to be close, and she won’t be able to run away from me, from us. I only hope she feels the same connection to me and my brothers that we feel for her. Somehow, I don’t think it’s going to be a problem.

Convincing her to give us a chance might be, but we’ve been waiting a long fucking time for her. What’s a little while longer?

I use a special computer program, one I paid a lot of fucking money for, and pull up her activity from last night because I’m curious if she’s looked into what the city has to offer. I’ll use any means necessary to give her what she wants and entice her to realize that she’s now right where she’s supposed to be.

I almost fall out of my fucking chair when I find out that she not only visited the website for Club Ecstasy but filled out their form to attend the Wicked Temptation Party this weekend. That is not fucking happening. Hell no.

I might not have been able to do anything to stop her from being with someone before, but with her here—on my turf and in my fucking city—I won’t allow that shit. I’ll burn this damn city to the ground first and I’m not usually one for violence. Kemp is the one who resorts to violence, when necessary, out of the three of us.

When I send a message to my brothers to come into my office, they don’t take long to respond. I’m barely containing myself while they come in with their own coffee and take a seat. Regulating my breathing is not helping me at all.

I want to drive over to Lennon’s apartment and throw her over my shoulder to take her to our house. That would probably not be a great idea. It would not be the greatest way to meet.

Jordan breaks the silence, amusement dancing in his eyes that I’m about to crush, “What’s up?”

“Lennon filled out an application for a party at Club Ecstasy,” I grit out through my teeth.

Silence descends in my office with my words. Kemp’s jaw is clenched to the point that I’m almost a little worried about him. Jordan’s eyebrows are so far up his damn head they really might get stuck there.
