“He won’t do it. He loves me too much to hurt me.”

“He doesn’t have a choice. Club rules and all.”

“He loves me more than this club. Montana won’t allow this.”

“That’s where you’re wrong, bitch. That fucker will always choose this club over a whore. But I’ll be nice and make sure you only feel a small amount of pain. That should help,” Silver said as Cynic removed the syringe from Largo’s IV before walking towards the door. “Now be a good girl and go get the punishment you deserve.”

The camera angle changed as we all watched Largo slowly get up from the bed, stumbling towards the door almost like she was drunk, before making her way down the hall and walking into the boardroom.

No one said a fucking word because we all knew what happened next. Emotions were still raw for what we all did to Largo later that day. None more so than me, who still had a hard time coming to grips with my part in that shit show.

“Where the fuck is Cynic?” Montana growled.

“There’s more,” Shame gravely said, bringing up another feed. “I was going over the video before the attack and came across this.”

As Shame hit play, I watched as Bane sat at his desk in his office, frowning while he looked over a file. In the next instant, the grumpy doctor got to his feet, marched out of his office towards the main room where he spotted Cynic sitting at the bar.

“You motherfucker!” Bane roared, throwing the file down on top of the bar when he confronted Cynic. “You are the fucking reason she left three years ago.”

My brother smirked, shaking his head before taking a drink of his beer. “The cunt finally talked.”

“She didn’t say shit, but I sure as hell will. When Mercy learns what you did, he’s going to fucking gut you!”

“Mercy ain’t gonna do shit, Bane,” Cynic scoffed. “That motherfucker doesn’t give two shits about the bitch. I made sure of it. That bitch sealed her fucking fate when she threatened to sing like a canary. Some advice, Bane. I’d keep your mouth shut too. Wouldn’t want Montana to learn your dirty secret.”

“That’s the difference between you and me, Cynic. I don’t give a flying fuck what Montana knows or doesn’t. You want to tell him I’ve been secretly keeping his father abreast of what’s going on in the club, then by all means, go ahead. Tell the asshole. But you are different. What I did will pale in comparison when he and the others learn the truth.”

“They’re not going to learn shit, Bane. Largo will keep her fucking trap shut and I will have leverage over Mercy.”

“That’s what you think, because as soon as Montana and Mercy get back from meeting Romano, I’m telling them everything.”

“No, you’re not,” Cynic growled, getting to his feet, producing a gun, pointing it at Bane, who laughed when Fury and Vicious both walked into the room, stopping dead in their tracks.

“What the fuck is going on?” Fury asked as he slowly reached behind him for his weapon. Vicious already had his gun in his hand.

“This motherfucker raped Largo!” Bane shouted for all to hear. “That’s why she ran.”

In the next instant, we all watched as Cynic fired his weapon, shooting Bane, then in quick succession hit Fury and Vicious, before grabbing the file and running out of the clubhouse. Moments later, I could see Largo running down the stairs, only to stop for a split second when she spotted Bane lying on the floor.

“August!” my wife screamed, running over to him, dropping to her knees, trying desperately to stem the flow of blood. “Someone help me!”

“Largo,” Bane coughed, blood spurting out of his mouth. “I know it was Cynic.”

My wife gasped, her face paling a deathly shade of white. “What?”

“It wasn’t your fault. Free yourself, baby.”

“Come on, August, hang on. Someone’s coming,” she whispered, looking around the room just as the front doors opened and men dressed in black wearing ski masks stormed inside.

“Largo,” Fury grunted, holding his side. “Run!”

Shame stopped the video. “You know the rest.”

No one said a fucking word. I leaned forward in my chair, holding my head in my hands. Brothers slowly moved away fromme, giving me room, not saying a damn word. If they knew what was good for them, they wouldn’t say shit while I tried to assimilate what I just watched and heard.

Controlling my breathing, I tried to stem the rage boiling inside my body when everything I’d done to her since her return filtered into my brain.

My callousness, my anger, my indifference.
