“Asked or ordered?”

“Ordered.”

“Why? Didn’t you trust Largo?”

“Yes. I trusted Largo, but not those other fuckers.”

“So, as her Dominant, you gave your submissive an order and she didn’t follow it. How does that make you feel?”

“Angry.”

“Anger is subjective, Mercy. Tell me what you really feel.”

“I want to spank her ass so fucking red she can’t sit down for weeks. If she had just listened to me, then none of this would have happened.”

“You mean she wouldn’t have left you or she wouldn’t have been raped?”

Sitting back down, I hung my head and sighed, “I don’t know, both.”

“Then that’s what we need to find out.”

I was mentally drained by the time I left Torment’s office. I’d never talked so much in my fucking life. Just thinking about the next visit with him had me cringing. While I didn’t mind talking a little, Torment was really good at getting to the nitty gritty of any situation. The brother never took anything at face value and had to dissect every nuance. It was annoying.

He was annoying.

Stepping into the clubhouse, I halted immediately upon hearing Largo’s raised voice.

“You don’t get to tell me what to do. You are not my husband, Montana.”

“Woman, you are pissing me off!”

“Oh shocker!” my wife shouted back. “You live in a perpetual state of being pissed off. Just tell me what I want to know and I will leave.”

Shaking my head, I headed towards Montana’s office, knowing damn well that those two could go all night without either budging. When I say Montana treated my wife like a sister, I meant it. Like siblings, those two lived to dig, pick, and annoy each other.

They were exhausting.

Passing the club’s bar, Silver smirked. “They’ve been at it for a while, Mercy. She’s wearing him down.”

Trying, but failing to keep a smirk off my own face, I shook my head and strolled toward the bickering duo. Standing right outside his office, I leaned against the wall and listened.

“He was my brother, Montana. You don’t get to lord information about my family over me. Who the hell was that woman?”

“No one. Now, are we done?”

“Not by a longshot,” Largo threatened.

Could have told him that my woman was just gearing up, but he dug this grave. He could figure out how to dig himself out of it. “Malice said they were married. That you knew about her. My brother never married anyone, especially not a woman.”

“What the hell do you mean by that?”

“My brother was gay, you idiot. He preferred dick to pussy. Which reminds me... Landon always had a smile on his face whenever you were around. Was there something going on between you two?”

“What!”

“Oh, don’t get shy with me now. Tell me, Montana, have you ever batted for the other team?”

“You evil brat!”
