“We already know who it was. Our dad killed them so Stefano and Loraine could get away from you,” Romeo stated.

“Did he?” the bitter woman challenged.

“Oh God,” Virginia gasped, walking towards the older woman. “Tell me he didn’t. He couldn’t be that stupid.”

“You’ve always impressed me, Virginia Stone. Not your choice of husbands, of course, but your ability to look between the lines to see the truth of the matter. Bravo, my dear. I’m impressed.”

“Someone want to tell me what the fuck this bitch is talking about!” I shouted, losing my patience fast. This whole fucking mess was turning into a fucking three-ringed circus. There were too many players. So much subterfuge. It was making my head hurt.

All I cared about was Largo and if she was finally safe.

Virginia looked at me and whispered, “It was George. He killed two innocent people to cover his own ass. He did it with Rafaello’s blessing.”

“What!” several people gasped in confusion, me included.

“I’m right. Aren’t I?” Montana’s mother asked, walking over to Happy, who hadn’t moved from his spot.

The big man nodded, saying nothing more.

Montana rushed forward, grabbing the man by his cut and snarled. “You fucking knew all this time and said nothing? Did nothing? You sat there in my boardroom and let my dad punish my sister so he could save his own ass!”

“Yes, Prez.”

“Did Snoopy and Popeye know?” I growled.

Happy nodded.

“Why? Why didn’t you say anything?”

“Because George would have killed your mother to punish him,” Largo clearly said for all to hear. Virginia’s head whipped to Largo’s, her eyes were wide with fear as Largo added, “It was going to come out eventually, Virginia. Just tell him.”

“Tell me what!” Montana yelled, pushing Happy away as he rounded on his mother. Virginia took a deep breath and simply said, “Happy was only trying to protect me, Son. He kept your father’s secret to save my life.”

“Why?”

“Because your dad knows about us. Michael has loved me for years.” Virginia smiled at the big man behind her son, then whispered, “And I love him too.”

“Jesus fucking Christ,” I muttered. “It’s like a fucking daytime soap opera around here. Can we get back to the matter at hand, please? Does anyone else want to spill their guts because now is the time?”

“I have something to say.”

“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!” Montana shouted.

“Jesus, kid, are you trying to get yourself killed?” Fury commented while Vicious smiled walking over to the front door to shake Sypher’s hand. “Boy, you sure know how to make an entrance.”

“I would have been here sooner, Mr. Vicious, but I only got the last bit of information a while ago. I had to verify everything. Is Pippen around? I need to check with him before I tell everyone what I have found out.”

“He should be in his office.”

Sypher nodded, then quickly whispered something in Vicious’ ear before skirting around all the brothers, giving Montana a wide birth. I would too, considering Montana threatened to scalp the kid if he ever stepped foot on Soulless Sinners ground again.

With the clubhouse on complete lockdown, Montana ordered everyone to take a fucking break. It was going to take some time to absorb all the information revealed today. Plus, Storm said that Pippen and Sypher needed at least an hour to verify whatever the fuck it was Sypher found. With everyone takinga break, Montana wasted no time taking his mother’s arm and escorting her into his office, Happy mutely following behind. If the shouting and cursing coming from that room were any indication, I wished Virginia and Happy all the luck I could muster because they were going to need it.

While Cecila Romano continued to sit at the bar with two brothers guarding her, Renaldo Romano and his brothers sat at the table with Armando Guillermo, giving their heartfelt apologies for what their father put the man through. I even overheard talk of compensation.

Heading over to Largo, I took her hand and whispered, “Come with me, baby.”

Escorting her towards the stairs, I spotted Payne and ordered, “No one comes up. You hear me? No one.”
