I turn back to Talia.

“Prez is back. Best fucking news they’ve had for a long time. But you know that.”

I rake a hand through my hair, my head aching at the touch. “Shame he couldn’t be here to enjoy it with them.”

As I say it, I spot Talia looking over my shoulder, a sly smile spreading across her lips.

Two hands then appear either side of me, slowly leaning against the bar.

I look down at the tattoos, a sudden craving for the hands they’re painted on to be on me. Sitting straighter, I feign disinterest. “How good of you to show.” I sound a lot more confident that I feel.

Scooping my hair in his hand, Dean sweeps it off my neck.

I should stand and walk away, give him a piece of my mind somewhere private. But Jesus if his nose nestling into my neck, his warm breath hitting my skin, doesn’t leave me glued to the stool I’m sat on. I blink the longest of blinks as desire and want stir within my belly.

“I think I need to apologise.” The sexy edge to his voice makes me think of all the ways I’d like him to.

He kisses my neck gently before I smile to myself. “You think?”

Dotting his lips to my ear, I ignore the temptation to roll my head back into his shoulder. He knows exactly what he’s doing. Even after six months, even after the time apart, we still have this. Him in control. Me letting him take it but pretending to hate it. “I know I do.” His voice vibrates against me, goosebumps scatter up my arms. “Let me make it up to you.”

“Make what up to me?” I remark, trying to sound nonchalant.

“Let me take you home.” Dean slowly spins me in my seat.

I manage to keep a straight face when I look up at him. “Everyone’s here, foryou.”

“I don’t care about everyone else. I want to lose myself in mygirl.”

I would love nothing more. “Sounds like you have a problem,” I laugh. “Look around you.”

He looks knowing I’m right, then sighs. “Tomorrow. I’ll give you all of me tomorrow. From the moment I wake you up, to the minute I take you to bed.”

I stand pushing my body and therefore my bump into him.

He splays his hands across it, his thumbs lightly gliding back and forth.

You only have to look around the room to see how much the men here love him, how grateful they are that he’s home. I’m sure like me they have their questions. But tonight, they only want to enjoy him.

Dean takes my face between his hands, his thumbs stroking my cheeks. “My fucking sunshine,” he says softly, making me smile.

“From the moment you wake up.”

“To the minute I take you to bed,” he promises. He pulls me to him, kissing me, and I let out a moan as I close my eyes, accepting that tonight’s going to be a late one. “I’ll get one of these shitheads to bring me back.” He kisses my cheek.

Only then do I notice a scent of the seaside on him. Where was he when he was out? “I can pick you up.” It’s not like I’ll get any sleep anyway.

“I’m not having you drive back here late.” He silently drinks me in.

I eye roll his overprotectiveness but offer a warm smile. “Fine.”

Taking me again, his lips push to mine, his fingers curling into the back of my hair. “You’ll call if you need me?”

“Yes,” I tell him, pushing him away as I notice a few eyes on us. “Now go.”

There’s a bang on the bar next to us. “Red, two glasses,”Travis orders.

I turn seeing Red now working the bar.
