“Three days. It’s been hell trying to keep Fin and Harlen from going to war with your old pack. The warriors were not helping matters. They were hyping them both up.” She shook her head as both Harlen and Fin came in along with Doc.
“Good morning Luna. How are you feeling?” Doc’s gruff but friendly voice asked me as he took out his stethoscope.
Fin came up to the side that Bella was on and handed me the cup of water. I gulped it down, even though they had been giving me fluids while I was in the medically induced coma. This helped with the parched feeling that I had.
“I’m good. Ready to get out of this bed.” I told them all. My voice was not my normal tone at all and I felt like I could drink a lake and still not get the parched feeling gone.
A nurse came in with a pitcher and then refilled my glass. I gulped it down too before I turned my gaze back to Doc.
“Do you happen to know who it was that poisoned you, Luna?”
Everyone waited for me to answer. Could my delta have actually poisoned me? I mean if the Alpha told him to then he wouldn’t have had a choice. So, that meant the one I wanted was my old Alpha.
“I have a hunch on who it was. But I don’t know if they did it willingly or if they were made to do it.” I answered the Doc. My gaze went to Fin and I could see along with feel his anger in his eyes. He wanted blood as much as I did. But we needed answers before we started a war. “I know what you are feeling and I want it too. But we have to be sure what they want.”
“And when we find out. That whole pack will be no more.” The blue of Aloysius’ eyes glowed like I had never seen before. And I knew that in my mind he was telling me and the people in this room the truth. One hundred percent.
Chapter Thirty
Fin
It has been a couple of weeks since the poisoning. Nikita has been taking it slow but has been on edge. I had more warriors on patrol than I had ever had before. There was no way that Alpha Roy would just let this go. He wanted me dead and now that I had completed my mate bond with Nikita, he would have to kill her now, too.
I watched as she fought with one of our biggest males. He wasn’t too keen on fighting with his Luna, but she insisted he train with her. Telling me I was too busy with pack things to train with her. Hank was pulling his punches, and she was getting frustrated. I could tell by the way she kept pushing him. She hated that even though she was able to fight with the best of them. They thought because of her size that they would hurt her.
“Just go on Hank.” She sighed as she placed her hands on her hips as she shook her head. Nikita’s head bowed while she took deep breaths.

Nikita’s head snapped up to me on the hill, and she shook her head. A few of the wolves that were around the fighting ring noticed I was there. I had changed into only shorts, knowing that I was going to shift and make her fight me. This was going to be the only way that they would treat her like me when we trained. They needed to know that she could take as much as she gave.
You would cause Aloysius wouldn’t let you hurt me. She snapped back at me through our mate link. Aloysius shook his but he was in on my game.
If you are so sure, then shift and we will train our wolves.
You’re on.She shifted and everyone around her gasped. Most of them hadn’t seen her beautiful wolf before.
I took off running and jumped the fence, along with a few of the other warriors. Shifting into my solid white wolf in the air. Enyo had her ears against her head and teeth bared, but Aloysius held his cool. We rounded each other in the fighting area. Enyo jumped in and pulled a tuft of hair from my shoulder. It hurt like a bitch and lunged at her.
Enyo jumped away just as my teeth closed and I came away with some of her brownish red hair in my mouth. I crashed into her and Nikita slid into some of the warriors. A few of the males and females growled their displeasure.
Good they should get mad when something happens to their Luna. Aloysius snickered as he laid his ears against his head. Baring his teeth at the closest ones. The wolves bowed their heads even though they still showed their displeasure.
Nikita stood and raced back toward me. I hadn’t realized that she was as fast as she was until it was too late to move. She crashed into me with her shoulder and sent me into the other warriors on the other side of the ring. Fuck, she was strong. I believed that I was going to bruise later after this fight.
Sometimes I couldn’t help but think that maybe she had alpha blood in her lineage. Which would be the reason why she was bigger than most other females in their wolf form. Her strength was another reason why I thought that she had alpha in her. I mean, it could happen. Packs have been lost and alphas had went rogue. So there was always a chance.
We continued to fight; she grabbed hold of my ear and tugged. Wolves on the side lines cheered her on. They had never seen her actually fight with someone like me. I wish they could’ve seen her fighting the big wolf in her pack. She was fucking spectacular. It made me hard just thinking about her fucking up that wolf.
Jumping away from her she continued to lunge at me. I was trying to tire her out, so that she didn’t think about what had happened the morning after her Luna ceremony. When I found out who did it, they would lose their life. I had waited too long to find my mate to just lose her to someone trying to get revenge.
If it was Alpha Roy, I would enjoy tearing him limb from limb. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that he was mated and she would feel his life leave her. May the Goddess allow her the strength to pull through that pain. Because there had been talk that when a mate died, it normally took the other too if they weren’t strong enough.
