“Scream my name again, feisty wolf.” I groaned as I began to thrust in and out of her. Even without her being in heat. I could feel myself swelling inside of her.

“Ah! Goddess Fin I’m coming!” My brain was mush as my thumb went inside her tight hole and I unloaded everything I had inside of her.

Chapter Thirty-One

Nikita

Fin ran beside me in his wolf form in the early mornings. He decided that since we had trained that previous afternoon that we would run in the mornings. I didn’t mind. It was refreshing to be able to have this moment of togetherness as the sun rose over the mountains.

When we rounded the next corner I spotted something in the middle of the trail. At first I thought it was a log. But then when we got closer it was my old delta from my pack. I shifted and ran up to him with Fin at my side.

“Nikita be careful.”

Kneeling down beside my old pack mate I searched his body for any type of wound. When I didn’t find one I realized that he had been poisoned like I had. I couldn’t understand why he would be here on my pack and why was he poisoned? Did he know what had happened at my Luna Ceremony?

I glanced over my shoulder to Fin who stared back at me. This wasn’t good. If people found out that we had a wolf from another pack dead on our land. Alpha Roy would attack because he now had reason to. He could claim that we killed him.

“Fin we need Doc out here. He needs to run tests on him.” Fin glanced over to me, his eyes frosting over as he reached out to Doc.

“Doc says that he’s on his way. He’s bringing things to go ahead and draw blood from him. So, that way we won’t lose it.”

I nodded and stood. It blew my mind that he would do that to a delta that had a mate. I hoped that she was strong enough to keep her life. But then again, would she want to after her fated mate was killed? I know I wouldn’t want to live. Then again, I’d want to live until I avenged my mate. That way I would know that whoever did kill him knew I had the upper hand.

“Doc is almost here why don’t you shift?” I smiled at him and shifted. He didn’t like any male to see me naked. The only time I think that he would, would be if I was actually having his pup but even that might be unlikely.

Doc came around the corner and stopped as he stared between me in my wolf form and then back over to my very naked mate. He kneeled to my fallen ex pack mate and started to pull vial after vial of blood from him. It was crazy seeing him lying there when I had seen him the morning of my Luna ceremony.

A few more wolves came to get him. Placing him on the gurney and covering him so that no one saw him. It made me wonder how he got here. Did he run all this way?

What are we going to do? Are you going to call Alpha Roy?

Yes. I’m going to call him and let him know that one of his wolves are here. And that he needs to come get him. I don’t know what he is planning, but he won’t get whatever he’s looking for.Fin’s voice spoke to me in my head so that the other wolves here wouldn’t know what we were talking about.

Okay. Be careful because he may try to spin this on you.

We will be ready for the pack. I won’t let him hurt you again.Fin growled in my head. He was just as upset as I was about the poisoning.

You know that I can take care of myself. I’m not like most females.I chuckled in my head and wagged my tail. I didn’t understand why he continued to try to treat me the way he did. I had a guess but I wasn’t like her and his uncle was gone. The only alpha that wanted me dead was Alpha Roy and I knew I could take him because he wasn’t as strong as he let on.

I know you aren’t but it is my duty to protect you as much as I can.He sighed in my head as he shook his head. Doc had come up to him. Whispering something to him so that the other wolves didn’t hear him.

I lopped up to Fin’s side rubbed my head against his arm. He reached up and rubbed my ears. I don’t know why but having my ears scratched as a wolf just felt so damn good. It made it feel even better with the sparks chasing his hands.

“Okay Doc, just run what you can on his blood. I’ll handle the rest.” Fin turned to me and then shifted his massive white wolf just as tall as I was.

The size difference between us always astonished me since I was just a warrior wolf. I had never seen another female the same height as her alpha. They had said that a female born alpha was almost the same size but since I had never seen one that was shifted I couldn’t say if that was true or not.

He nipped me and raced ahead of me. I caught up with him just as we jumped the river that ran in the territory. The tip of my tail dipped into the water when my back paws hit on the other side of the bank. We continued into the middle of the town and pups ran with us until they couldn’t anymore.

We got to the packhouse and spotted Harlen with another wolf that I didn’t recognize. I nuzzled Fin as we came to a trot. He licked my muzzle as we headed up to the front steps. The older man turned as Fin shifted and a wolf brought him some shorts.

“Olli it’s been awhile. How’s everything been going?” I stayed in my wolf form and noticed that the man named Olli continued to stare at me.

Part of me thought I had seen him before but then again I couldn’t have since I rarely left my previous pack. And the only way to see other wolves was to go to other packs. No one at my pack ever let me leave so when I came to this pack it was so surreal.

“Yes, it has. How about we go and talk in your office?” Olli took one more glance at me and then followed Fin and Harlen inside the packhouse.

Bella came up to me with a large shirt. I shifted and pulled the shirt over my head. It was Fin’s I could smell his scent.
